I don't understand how anyone can give a positive review about this place. We have booked a 7 night stay, only to check out 2 hours after arriving. The place is horrific. I walked into a room slightly bigger than a bathroom, with two beds taking up an entire room. There's about a foot of space between the beds and around each bed, not enough space to walk freely, yet alone unpack your luggage. The beds were hard, basic, and yellow stains on the bedsheets. The bathroom shower was yellow and a toilet had a bucket of water next to it, I'm assuming for flushing. The whole place is extremely outdated and not suitable to accommodate a human being. We were told the Wifi is "cut off" and no other explanation was given. We checked out two hours later, losing our money (at that point it didn't even matter), but we had to get out of there. The owner, Lorna, was the most uncivilized person I have ever met. She made sure she shouted "no refund" as we were leaving. Please, do yourself a favor and pick another place. If possible, wait until you arrive to El Nido and check out the room before paying for It.
Room was small (value-for-money is low in El Nido)-although was clean and newly decorated. There was one double and one single (both comfortable) which took up the entire room-I would have preferred just the double and have the extra space. The location is a short 3 min walk to the beach front.
The service was a little strange though. At check-in the lady made a comment about having made the room up for two guests (i.e. sheets on both beds, and 2 towels). When they went to clean the room they stripped the sheets from the single and removed a towel. Not a huge problem-but I don't really see why they were so worried about it-I had paid the same as 2 people staying anyway (and having 2 towels in hot and sweaty El Nido would have been appreciated).
After the first day the showel gel in the dispenser ran out-I asked them to fill it up when they clean the room which they said they would. When I returned later I went straight for a shower and found it had not been filled up-so I went out to the front desk (wet/ half way through my shower) to ask for shower gel and they told me that it isn't included in the room price and that I would need to go to the store next door. So this was also a little strange-a small matter but would have been appreciated if they could just keep the dispenser topped up.
However, the staff were always friendly and cheerful.
My complaints aren't big-overall this is a good place and I would consider staying there again if I return to El Nido.
A small hotel a little too far out of the main area of El Nido - 10 minute walk along a busy road. Hotel room was clean and tidy, but small. Air con worked. A little over priced, but not bad for a 4 day stay.
