The only reason I gave 4 stars was because not much of an area to take your dogs to. Just a parking strip that was weedy grass and no place to dispose of poop. Other than that, they were very nice and the room was clean. My room was the one outdoor entrance which made it easy for the dogs and I could park right in front of the room.

Mostly excellent experience. When I checked in, I asked for late checkout and the front desk person said no problem, just an extra $20 charge. OK great, but the next day my room key stopped working and I had to ask for another one, and the 2nd front desk person gave me a hard time about late checkout, and said he'd 'let it slide this time.' ???? They said it was fine and charged me, they shouldn't have complained about it to me the next day. Anyway, overall good experience except for that.

Nice older hotel

Hotel is older but kept up in good condition. I was a little worried when we were checking in but, hotel staff was great and quick as we checked at midnight and were exhausted. Hotel room was very clean and neat and large rooms. Bathroom was very very clean I was impressed. Quite hotel, beds were very comfortable and I slept great. Breakfast was good the next morning staff was present and cleaning. I would recommend and stay again if traveling through.

Basic shelter

Staff was friendly, but room was awful. Unvacuumed dust on the staircase, I was put in a separate building from the main unit. Pop and ice machine were broken, so I had to walk across a dark parking lot to get ice. One tiny garbage can in the whole room, which meant bathroom garbage ended up in sleeping space; satellite box did not work, no toilet paper spindle, the roll just sat on the counter. Room was old and in rough shape. As I said, staff was friendly, but I wouldn’t stay there again or recommend.

I had already made reservations with Expedia and pre- paid. It took 30 minutes! We had traveled 6 hours and very tured. Clerk could not figure out computer. He finally asked for help. We got to our room, and was no decaf coffee packs and no hand or bath bar soap. My husband went back to the clerk. The clerk simply said, "We're out of decaf coffee and out of any kind of soap. Or great, we couldn't wash our hands or take a shower!! My husband went to the store to buy what we needed.

Evening in Evanston

Room was large and clean. Had all the normal stuff: bed, desk with chair (horrible condition), plenty of plug-ins, large screen TV, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, safe, iron & ironing board, etc. Only minor annoyances were the heater was a bit finicky to get at a decent temperature, and the shower head could use a solid cleaning & scouring. All in all, it was "okay".
