Overall, as a solo male patron, I was quite satisfied with the facilities, employees, breakfast and the overall stay. My wife would not have liked to stay there due to lack of room security; the deadbolt didn't work and there was no way to lock the door to the adjoining room. Additional maintenance issues: there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, there was a vent but no negative air flow from the bathroom into the vent and exhaust, the tv cat 5 cable wire outlet was pulled from the wall, walls in the room and bathroom have obviously not been scrubbed for some time. While I didn't actually stay here myself, I've made my selections based on what my brethren told me about the place. He was moving across the country and became stranded with vehicle trouble on Thanksgiving. I purchased the room for him so he didn't have to sleep in his truck. Once towed to the hotel parking lot, I'm told the owner of the hotel himself actually helped him get new parts, and do mechanical work on his truck right in the parking lot in an effort to help him get back on the road for his move back west. Big ups ! to the owner and family of the Quality Inn Evanston!

While the room and some of the furniture appear updated, the lounge chair in the room is filthy, and there is. Large amount of paint peeling off the wall over the tub. The sidewalk and landscaping outside the room are unkempt and dirty.
