The bedroom is really comfortable, the breakfast is delicious (I finally tried the typical English one), the hotel is very close to St David's station (less than 5 minutes walking in the rain and carrying a heavy luggage), and also to the city center. The bathroom was shared with one another bedroom, but it was cleaned quite often.
The ground floor room was clean and warm. The beds comfortable.
The ensuite is very small and not heated a heated towel rail would help together with more than one hook on the door to hang clothes/ towel.
The curtains need to be thicker so light doesn't come through.
A larger cordless kettle would be safer than the travel kettle.
The handle on the old wardrobe is loose.
The welcome and service was warm .
The breakfast was tasty.
The property is between Exeter St Davids and Central and walkable.
Family room that was in its own space with a small garden was lovely, nice drinks tray which included filtered water. Complimentary toiletries also great. Bed very comfortable so had a good night's sleep. All staff where lovely making sure you had everything you needed from check in to checkout. Breakfast was superb offering vegetarian and vegan options which was a plus for me , my partner had the meat option on both the produce was excellent quality., good selection of teas and coffee, also plenty of fruit, yogurts, cereals , fruit juice etc. This is also situated within 10 minute walk from the train station and the town which was brilliant for us. We would definately start again.
This is what a B&B originally was like, a room that's like a real bedroom, comfy and cosy, with a friendly and helpful staff and creature comforts. There's a dvd player in the room and dvds or books to borrow downstairs. I really felt very comfortable and didn't have any noise from other rooms. I do wear earplugs anyway so I didn't get disturbed by traffic noise (I was in a front bedroom). I was upstairs which is not accessible if you have mobility needs (this wasn't an issue for me personally). The host offered to help with my bag. I did get an ensuite but on my way past I spied on the shared bathroom and it was pristine so I wouldn't worry if shared ones are left (it's also a little cheaper than ensuite)
The room was in good condition, we had been worried about the shared bathroom aspect but actually that was fine.
There was no loo roll in the toilet when I needed to use it but I found a cupboard outside the room with some rolls in.
Most of the staff, were nice, especially the person on the desk when we checked in - they were very helpful - but some of the morning team seemed gruff and distracted.
Unfortunately the hotel enacted our biggest pet peave: They brought the toast to the table almost 10 minutes before the cooked breakfast...
Why do hotels/B&Bs/Guesthouses feel the need to prepare and serve toast before the rest of the breakfast..?
Who wants cold soggy toast with their beans and egg?
How hard is it to put the toast in the toaster just as the breakfast is being dished up and then serve it at the same time?
Stayed overnight for a show. Owners friendly and helpful. Lovely room. Very eco friendly. Fantastic selection of teas- and fresh coffee in room- very appreciated. Toiletries provided- and again very eco friendly. Perfect location for trains.Breakfast was amazing. So much choice and excellent quality.
Spotlessly clean! Iâve never stayed anywhere with a shared bathroom before but it was absolutely no issue. Very cosy room and welcoming. Breakfast was great. We slept so well. Would stay again
The triple room was clean and ensuite. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking that was a great bonus. Lovely vegan breakfast and had gluten free options. Would recommend.
