'Privileged' is the only way to describe this splendid property: Privileged in terms of style, décor and its excellent facilities but, perhaps most of all, privileged in terms of location. Tucked into pretty countryside on the outskirts of Cala d'Or, Sa Marina sits in private grounds of nearly nine acres and is just a few hundred metres walk from two of the prettiest cove beaches to be found on the east coast. A long time favourite with Vintage Travel guests for its gently shelving, family friendly sands, Cala Sa Nau is many people's idea of the idyllic Mediterranean cove, however its lesser known, but no less attractive near neighbour, Cala Mitjana, which can be accessed only on foot or by boat certainly must not be overlooked. Each of these beaches is easily reached via nearby country paths.
As befits such a unique location, Sa Marina's local owners have designed, furnished and equipped their property with care and attention to detail. The house is generously proportioned and easy to live in, with a welcoming feel and rooms that are light and airy. The good size kitchen has a farmhouse style, fireplace (ornamental only) and each of the six bedrooms has its own en suite bath or shower room boasting an individual colour scheme enhanced  by tastefully chosen local ceramics.

A spacious exterior suite (conveniently situated off the covered kitchen terrace at the side of the house) makes a wonderful addition to facilities and enhances privacy options for larger families or groups of friends looking to enjoy a holiday together. Offering a double bed, en suite shower room, air conditioning and a fridge, both the décor and furnishings in this comfortable, welcoming space fully reflect the established high standards of the main house alongside. (Please note that the Small Party Rate does not include use of the exterior private suite.)

Extensive sun terraces surround the impressive private pool which boasts family friendly Roman steps and a shallow, circular pool incorporated into one end that younger party members in particular are sure to enjoy.

From the first floor terraces there are far reaching sea and country views. On one side the sparkling, azure Mediterranean falls away towards the distant horizon while, on the other, a broad rural panorama criss crossed by picturesque low stone walls encompassing wild shrubs and fields of citrus, olive and carob trees stretches across to the village of S'Horta and beyond to the hilltop monastery of San Salvador near Felanitx.

While this location is undoubtedly rural, all amenities can be found within a 10-15 minute drive at either Cala Figuera, Cala d'Or or the village of S'Horta. You are also very well placed for exploring many of the most interesting towns, villages and coves of south-east Mallorca. The capital, Palma, can be reached in under an hour and several local restaurants are easily found nearby although, dare we suggest that with such a splendid property and position at your disposal, you are sure to find leaving Sa Marina particularly difficult!
