It is like a snapshot of the history of the west with short walking distance to the historic Glenwood Springs Hot Springs and the Yumpah Vapor Caves. The main restaurant was also excellent. It was a favorite of Teddy Roosevelt, who visited often when the urge to shoot something with fur struck him. The best word I can think of to describe the Hotel Colorado is, authentic. "
