The room we were in was infested with ants. That got in our luggage, was in the closet, and the bathroom. When we reported to staffing they didn’t feel empathy for the situation and we were stuck in a room that wasn’t well prepared.

The staff was very nice and helpful! The beds weren't comfortable and the floor was very dirty. The location was good. It was kind of a pain to get to the room. The elevator was very small, only fits 3 people.

The room was very neglected, the photos look nice but very deceiving. The room smelt like a dirty mop, the linen had an odor and the pillows were so thin. I had an item disappear and I notified the nice gentleman at the front desk. My item was never returned. The only plus was the gentlemen at the front desk.

The rooms are extremely spacious and quiet. Andrea was was very nice and helpful, with that being said the linens and towels were clean but the furniture was a little dusty. The lighting was dim i wished it could of been brighter in the room. Somehow moskitos kept getting in the room even when all the windows were closed. AC WORKS, BREAKFAST WAS GREAT AND ITS WALKING DISTANCE TO EVERYTHING.

Location brilliant. Hard to find initially it needs a proper sign outside. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was basic but clean and was well serviced daily. Breakfast was nextdoor and was ok but empty serving dishes were not replaced quickly and the bread was dry.

Location, location, location! This place is in between the Duomo and Santa Maria Novella and is literally next door to the Medici Chapel and Casa Martelli. Location can't be beat! Breakfast every morning was well stocked, with lots of variety, and nice staff. The hotel staff was basically almost never there, but the one time we caught Luca at the desk and.paid the city tax, he was a wonderful and kind persob. Downsides - the place has an odor! This has been mentioned in other reviews. Our particular room wasn't bad, but the common area near the elevator and reception and presumably the rooms on in that area have a very unpleasant smell. Another downside, the rooms need a deep clean. They did change out sheets and towels and cleaned the bathroom daily, BUT the duvet that was on our bed (between 2 flat white sheets) was filthy with stains and evidence of past bedbug activity. We didn't see any bedbugs on the mattress, but the brown spots and blood dots all over the maybe never before washed duvet tell a story - gross! Also, chandellier above the bed is caked in dust. What can you do? The pros outweighed the cons, but with just a deep cleaning and figuring out their odor issue this place could be a real winner. With the location they have, I guess they don't have to put in that extra effort which is too bad.

Clean room, staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations of things to do. Warning that there is a sewer/sulfur smell coming from drainage -after doing some research, this seems typical in some older neighborhoods in Florence. We kept the bathroom fan on all night and bathroom door closed as the smell is pretty strong.
