Great 4star hotel that could be priced as a 5star.

We enjoyed a great room that was bigger than most in the area. Excellent location, close to the tram, railway station and major landmarks. The staff puts this hotel above the rest though. They went above and beyond our expectations.

Good hotel, a bit far

Pros: Quiet
Cons: Nothing close
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Starhotels Michelangelo Firenze. It was a bit further away from the main sites than I expected, but luckily Florence is small and we still walked everywhere. If it hadn't been 100 degrees (literally) in Florence those days, I probably wouldn't have noticed as much. That said, my husband and I are both young citydwellers used to walking everywhere anyways... Everything else about the hotel was perfectly satisfactory. It was quiet, comfortable, and clean. The AC worked well. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was OK (a few crouisants/other pastry, some cereal, odd scrambled eggs, pancetta fried like bacon).
