We had a wonderful stay at Casa Palma. The location of this historic apt was close to shopping, great restaurants, entertainment and walking trails along the river. Our host was very responsive to questions. Checkin was easy and the apt was as expected. There was plenty of room for the two of us during our 5 day stay. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a loading zone in the front of the building but they do get parked up especially on the weekends and evenings. There is an inexpensive parking garage nearby. I would suggest a few future updates to the apt. The stand up shower has plenty of room but could be improved by adding a shelf for soap, shampoo, etc. A grab bar would also be helpful in both the shower and the tub. I would also suggest replacing the carpets in the bedrooms. The current carpet is looking warn out and I would think a tiled flooring would be much easier to maintain. We would stay here again in the future. The other residents in the building were very helpful and friendly. It was a great stop during a vacation away from our cold Ohio winter.
We stayed in this unit for six weeks during January and February. The best thing about this unit is location, location, and location. It is within a few minutesâ walk of everything worth seeing or doing in the River District. Both the building and unit are vintage. Both are frayed around the edges. The lobby, elevator, and halls are only marginally cleaned and maintained. The unit was well-equipped and stocked with more than necessary cleaning supplies and paper products. We knew going-in that this unit has a city view rather than a river view. Given our long stay, it would have been nicer to have enjoyed a river view. The view is something to keep in mind.We were, however, disappointed with the state of the unit on our arrival. The wi-fi was out of service. There were several burned out light bulbs. The carpets needed vacuuming. Finally, there was serious dust on almost every flat surface. The owner, however, was responsive. Wi-fi was restored within 24 hours. We were able to replace light bulbs with new ones already in the unit, and clean to our satisfaction with one of the two vacuums and other cleaning supplies found in the unit. In my view, the unit should have been âready to rentâ on our arrival; but that irritation passed quickly.Other than the initial âbump in the roadâ, we enjoyed the convenient location, and our extended stay in the River District.
We had a great stay at this property. The location was perfect. Right downtown and accessible to everywhere we needed to be. The host were great and they were very responsive. Looking forward to staying here again next year!
Flew down from Boston for 3 days of golf with2 other 60 year olds. Accommodations were excellent. Walk to coffee shop, bars, restaurants, and cigar bar all within 3 blocks. Back shower was not the best. Nice spacious Living area.
