Don’t be deceived by the fact that the rebates around the train station isn’t the nicest part of Frankfurt. The Townhouse hotel was modern, clean and very well upkept. My room was spotless and modern. It is a few steps from the train station - an ideal location if you will take day trips to other areas of Germany. The old town and Christmas markets were 15-20 min away - a very manageable walk along the river or through town. As a female solo traveller, I felt safe walking back to the hotel from old town at night

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Everything seemed fine at first, but the room was full of ants, and when I checked the sheets, I found bedbugs. I ended up leaving the hotel at 3 a.m. because I couldn’t stay there.

Wonderful room. Served its purpose for a night’s stay for one traveller. Well-interiored perfect for my needs - high pressure heated water, elevator, comfortable bed, desk for working, wardrobe for coats and clothes and as my room is at the topmost floor, there was some sort of balcony which is a nice bonus. The area is a place with lots of bars so it’s noisy but once you close the windows I could sleep soundly. Train station is 5 min walk, very convenienct but I was just on high alert when I passed through at 6am since there were drunk people at that hour. Nonetheless I’ll choose this hotel again.

Great value for the price I paid, very close to train station. Reception staff were very nice, both for check in and storing luggage. Reception area very modern. Lift takes you to a landing, but then there are about 8 steps to climb to get to most rooms. Room was basic but functional. Only issues were the area did not feel the safest on a Friday night, the noise outside was very loud and one of my windows wouldn’t close properly so had to use the bin to keep it closed, wasn’t really sure that the lock on the door was working and the toilet brush was sitting in very brown water from previous guests.

Very close to the Hauptbahnhof, lots of takeaways and restaurants nearby. Tram stops directly outside. Not the most salubrious area, wouldn't have felt very safe being a woman alone there. The hotel itself was fine, the lift set up is very odd with the lifts being in-between floors so you have to walk up or down stairs to get to the room. The room was fine but having a window open on to the fire escape was a bit strange.

This is a good quality hotel but unfortunately it is in a very noisy and rough area. There was nothing wrong with the room - comfortable bed, good ensuite bathroom. Unfortunately however, loud shouting drunk people on the street outside kept me awake half the night.
