**NEWLY REDESIGNED**

Enjoy this mid-century modern cottage with 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms settled privately on 6 acres of land! This newly refreshed property sits streamside on Stony Creek, with an old-time fishing hole perfect for catching trout. Just minutes away, guests can visit the Flight 93 Memorial.

Enjoy a family-friendly or multi-couple stay with one king bedroom, one queen bedroom, and one full bedroom. The indoor space also includes two living rooms – one on the first floor and one on the lower level. The first floor table area is perfect for family sit down dinners or family game nights, while the lower level living room is good for TV viewing and enjoying the gas fireplace. In addition, guests can use the fully-stocked kitchen to prepare meals and the coffee bar for your morning coffee!

Outside, the yard space is spectacular! Plenty of flat yard for kids and pets to run around and enjoy outdoor games. Guests can also relax on the large deck behind the home and listen to the sounds of the stream below. Parking is also made easy with the governor’s driveway – space for up to 6 cars! Outdoor solar-path lighting can help guests arriving after dusk.

This house has been completely refreshed by our TLVR Chief Design Officer. Guests can enjoy small touches of luxury with new sofas, rugs, bedding, linens, towels, and more! Enjoy your next getaway at our charming, private, countryside cottage!

THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY 2000 FEET ELEVATION. YEAR ROUND WE RECOMMEND 4WD/AWD VEHICLES. IN THE WINTER, WE DO PLOW; HOWEVER, GUESTS SHOULD ABSOLUTELY HAVE A 4WD/AWD VEHICLE TO STAY HERE FROM NOVEMBER 1-MARCH 31!

Security: For the safety of our guests and the protection of the property against criminal activity, all guests understand that, at a minimum, there is a “Blink” security camera type located at the front and rear entrance to monitor access/egress and driveway areas. Security cameras are in use 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Guests should not remove, disturb, modify or damage any part of the onsite security system. IF this occurs it will result in the loss of security deposit or added charges, which ever applies.

Great Family Rental

This was our second year staying at Lois Lane for Thanksgiving and it was perfect again! We absolutely love the property. Our relatives live in the surrounding area and this home allows to visit with them and have a quiet space to stay to recharge. Our dogs love it too!

Quiet relaxing getaway

Best part was getting up in the morning sitting on the back porch with a cup of coffee and listening to the creek down below very quiet very nice. We overpacked everything was there down to the Salt and Pepper great kitchen.

Can't wait to stay again

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay. The house was great for everyone(including our dogs!). The grounds the house are on are as beautiful if not better. We spent the better part of everyday by the creek, swim hole or just roaming the beautiful property. We can't wait to return!

Cozy House with Great Amenities

We rented this property for a short stay while attending a family gathering in the area. The property was very comfortable and well-equipped. We used the outdoor grill for some meals, beds were comfortable, and outdoor deck by the creek was very peaceful. We would definitely rent again if in the area.

The home was very nice for our short trip to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving. We had everything we needed and the beds were comfy. The house was warm and picturesque. After checkout, we received a strange message suggesting that we tried to tamper with the lock on their owner’s closet as they stated their lock was hard to open. We didn’t even know there was an owners closet. We live in an old house and our door locks are also always finicky. Other than that, our stay was great.

Peaceful getaway!

The property was beautiful view of a pond and creek, good yard for our dogs to run and play. Exceptionally quiet and peaceful if your looking to get away from loud noise. My wife and I both agree the best shower have ever taken at any place I have stayed before. Very nice accomodations and views, will stay again if up there again.

Pleasant Stay

The house has all of the amenities of home. Our college age children enjoyed trying out all of the “old school” games they have to offer. I enjoyed doing one of the jigsaw puzzles and just hanging out while my family went skiing. We’d definitely stay here again if we’re in the area.

Down-home America

This was a perfect spot for us. We visited The Flight 93 Memorial and there are 13 covered bridges within 45 minutes of Shanksville, a very quiet town. The quaint general store is the center of activity.

Very happy with our stay Close to lake and things we wanted to see and do Place was very well-equipped, beds very comfortable and clean clean enjoyed just chilling out with friends and family, the only gripe was fire pit was a little too far down the hill for a bunch of Old people to trek up and down, next time we’re in the area will stay again

Cozy Cabin

This sweet cabin was exactly as advertised. It's old in a completely charming way. It's minimalist (very lightly stocked kitchen) but warm. It was really nice to have a place that welcomed our dogs and the property is beautiful. We had a hiccup with communicating with the host - my email was down - and the host was beyond patient with us.

Nice property overall. Water level too high to fish unfortunately, but enjoy the stream regardless. Enough seating downstairs for 2 people, but would be a little crowded for a group - we would always recommend a couch and love seat vs. a couch and chair for those rainy days when you want to stretch out and watch a movie. We would recommend the property and would return to stay in the future.

Peaceful retreat

The house is cozy, comfortable, charming and peaceful. Pond and stream on the property, no neighbors and plenty of room to relax indoors as well as outdoors. The wrap around deck is great for sitting out in the sun or enjoying meals listening to the stream. Shanksville is just around the bend, hiking trails, lakes and parks within 20 minutes or less, Flight 93 Memorial is 10 minutes away. The house is charming and had everything I needed. We will definitely rent this again closer to Fall. Thanks for a wonderful and relaxing getaway.
