The hotel is ideally situated with some great views from the rooftop bar. It has a contemporary feel and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in comfortable walking distance. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I'd like to make a special mention to both Andre and Bruno, who were great conversation from behind the bar. If I come back to Madeira, this will be my first choice.

Room and hotel in general was very clean, breakfast was good and plentiful but could be excellent with the addition of ‘back bacon’. Staff were great with a special mention for Andre who looked after us on the excellent rooftop bar, serving great cocktails.

All front desk, restaurant and house keeping staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a wide variety of cooked dishes, cereal, fruit baked goods etc... Location is good - 10 minutes by bus to Old Funchal.

Lovely lovely stay! Great location with lots of great restaurants around! Staff were all friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was full of variety and even some fizz included. Really nice touches like sweets in the lobby and places to refill water bottle. Gym and sauna area also great and could make a tea in there after along with the rooftop bar to watch the sunset. Staff around cleaning all day - well maintained. Would stay again and recommend!

Great location, super nice staff, comfortable rooms and good varied buffet breakfast only down side was that the room with ocean view did not have much of a view at all. It was in a lateral at the back and you could only see a little patch in the distance. Not what I was expecting when I booked room with an ocean view.

We enjoyed our stay with Allegro Madeira. The location is a short walk to a beautiful view of the ocean. There is plenty of parking on-site and nearby. While there, our room was very well organized and clean. I loved the gym and wellness options! And the pool was so relaxing! We enjoyed the terrace on our room a lot! Breakfast at Allegro Madeira was phenomenal - we loved the buffet set up and the grill for omelettes and eggs! The nespresso lattes were also a favorite! The value for price received was great! The rooftop bar for a sunset drink is a must!

Loved this hotel!

I loved this hotel! It had everything you needed and felt very relaxed and unpretentious. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and the pool area and rooftop bar were both great. I also had a relaxing facial and massage in the spa. The breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. The barman in the rooftop bar was hilarious - trying to be grumpy but making me his “special” cocktails which were delicious 😋. I will definitely return the next time I’m in Funchal!

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Nothing special Bathroom not cleaned (hairs left in sink, glass shower tray could have been cleaned to a higher standard. Towels taken away and not replaced. Shower products adequate but not nice to use and appeared cheap quality. No bottles of water given after first day. Noisy ground floor room with patio next to car park. Mattress very ‘sunken’. Reception staff never acknowledged guests coming and going and did not appear professional laughing and joking noisily amongst themselves. Hotel was disappointing and I was expecting much more. I would not return as there are much better hotels for the money

Overall good stay, great location, very walkable and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Great breakfast with a lot of options. The outdoor poor was quite nice, the spa area was a bit outdated. The rooms were quite small and very loud, every time someone on your floor opened or closed a door you would hear about it, so not the best for light sleepers.

Great hotel - kitchen staff not friendly

Kitchen manager was rude one night we arrived at 932 pm from a tour to ask if we could have some food. ( they stopped serving at 930 but it was a buffet). He was extremely rude and quickly ushered us out of the dining area.
