La Maccinaia is a beautiful and comfortable villa with heated salt-water system swimming pool, located in a very quiet location, in the heart of the Chianti region, between Gaiole and Castelnuovo Berardenga. The property is part of wine producing estate and it is possible to arrange visit to its wine cellar upon request.
The main villa dates to the 17th century and it has been restored by its Belgian owners who combined modern design with original Tuscan architecture. La Maccinaia is equipped with the highest standard of modern comforts, including air-conditioning on the ground floor & second floor, wi-fi technology, a large flat screen television with satellite tv, and an especially well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are furnished with great taste, and almost all of them have en-suite bathrooms. Just across from the main villa there is a guest house built of stone that can sleep up to 6 people. This part of the property is of more recent construction, but maintains the same high level of the main villa. A particular feature is a covered veranda which makes eating al fresco a lovely experience. The panoramic position of La Maccinaia allows guests to enjoy colorful views of the Chianti countryside, especially from the guest house terrace and the pool area.
In the well-kept garden there is a large vegetable garden. The staff will be happy to support you in planning cooking services and cooking classes. This area is particularly convenient for wine lovers as there are several well-known wineries a short drive away.
For larger groups the dependance in front of the house (closed if renting the smaller version of this property) can be rented as well.
Please note that the road leading to La Maccinaia is unpaved and the heating of the pool is included in the price from the beginning of May until the end of September - If you trave outside this period time please be aware that if used it will be at extra cost.

Cleaning service is included 3 hours a day, 5 days a week.
