The apartment, which sleeps up to 7 people, is light and airy, with balconies at the front a rear. It is 8 minutes from the centre of Gallipoli and offers the perfect combination of beach and historic sites in this fascinating part of Italy.
The corner sitting room is full of light thanks to the French windows that open onto the front balcony and a second large window on the side wall. It is furnished with two sofas, a dining table and a flat-screen TV. The separate kitchen/diner is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, fridge/freezer and coffee machine. There is another dining table in the kitchen for informal snacks. French windows lead out to the back balcony.
The front balcony looks out over pine trees to the sea. It has a table and chairs where guests can enjoy an aperitivo and watch the sunset over the Ionian Sea.
Sleeping Bedroom 1: The master bedroom has a contemporary double bed, chest of drawers and an extensive wardrobe. Bedroom 2: The second room has 2 single beds which can be joined together and a wardrobe. Extra: One sofa in the living room converts into a double bed. The other becomes a single bed.
Bathrooms There are two modern bathrooms. Both are equipped with a shower, basin and WC. There is a washing machine in one of them.

Location The apartment is just 100m from fine sandy beaches and a 3-minute walk from the famous Lido San Giovanni, where you can hire sun loungers and parasols for a relaxing day by the sea. Just a short walk down the coast towards Baia Verde (20-minute walk), there are other bathing stations which play music in the afternoons, so will suit a variety of ages.
All the amenities guests might need, restaurants, supermarket (2-minute drive) and bars are all close by. Gallipoliâs daily fish market in the historic old city, is where you can pick up the freshest catch of the day. Otherwise, the weekly market (Wednesday) is an excellent place to find the best local ingredients.
Founded by the Greeks in the 5th Century BCE, Gallipoli means âbeautiful cityâ and the town does not disappoint. The townâs ancient walls soar over the harbour and fishing port. The winding streets in the historical centre are home to impressive palaces and fine Baroque churches.
The closest airport is Salento Airport in Brindisi - just over an hour away by car.
