Our stay at Glenlo was fantastic. Service was excellent, breakfast was great, the room was clean, the entire staff were kind, helpful, and knowledgable. The hotel is also just outside of Galway, so you feel like you're in the countryside while still being a short trip to the city center. I would highly recommend Glenlo for anyone looking to book a stay in or around Galway.

An excellent experience from the moment we arrived! Beautiful property, gorgeous room - this was, hands down, the best stay we had throughout our travels in Ireland. The staff were efficient and continuously helpful, and the icing on the cake was the unexpected room upgrade. Five stars all around.

Absolutely stunning hotel! The room is amazing. The grounds around the Abbey are breathtaking. The staff are all wonderful. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone.

It was a chaotic beginning, we arrived in a storm. But still, this is a 5 star property and expensive. We had to wait for our room, and then communication broke down and when our room was ready, no one told us. We were given bad directions (it was in the new lodge area of property) and in the rain and wind, we had to find our way. The lodge rooms are new and not properly outfitted for a 5 star property. No bath mat (bathroom floor slippery and cold), no robes, tea kettle hidden on top shelf of closet, no air circulation. We called for a fan, they said "right away", it never came. There was a wedding at the property so the bar and common areas were full of wedding guests, no place for hotel guests. First day was rough. Second day,

Beautiful grounds and hotel. Lots of staff on site Poor service though. No one could explain and show us how to get to our room. The extra room we had in the lodges wasn’t explained and was locked. Service at meals was long waits for service. Just very odd. Seems that focus on customer and training is the gap as facilities are stunning

Poor customer service was experienced two days in a row in the breakfast dining room. Staff took my order for coffee two days in a row and then didn’t deliver it. Had to ask other staff a couple of times to please bring coffee. On day two my wife and I had the great fortune to get on a “wait list” for a table for breakfast. We waited 25 minutes to be seated. When it came time to check out I asked the front desk for a porter to get our bags. I waited for another 25 minutes while I watched others who had come after me receive their luggage. For the price of this supposedly five star resort I found the lack of good customer service quite disappointing. I, unfortunately, will not book another stay here.

The staff is very attentive and helpful. The bartender was amazing. We just needed 2 more of him as the lounge was under staffed. Beautiful location just 2 miles from downtown. I wish it had a pool and had upgraded walk in showers. The breakfast was amazing. Also Pullman Restaurant is a flash back to days gone by. Dont miss it....it is remarkable.

This is a nice enough hotel, but the property is dated, it badly needs a renovation, and if you think it is some sort of castle, it is not. The staff is really excellent, but for the price, I would not revisit and would discourage anyone from booking there expecting any sort of luxury experience. It is an old hotel with old rooms.
