Nice staff, nice room. It was a short walk from the train station and Eyre Square, and there were great places to eat very close by. Great security too - I liked the gate for the entire lane.

Great location 10-minutes walk from the Latin Quarter. Great shower, at least in the disabled room that we were given. Has air conditioning in the rooms, which we were happy for as the window barely opened. The rooms are very small - we were glad we were only there 2 nights. And the front desk is unstaffed from 9pm - 9am, which did but seem particularly safe given the location. No one was at the desk when we arrived to check in at around 5pm. Parking is all off-site, but the parking garage is an easy 5-minute walk. There's NO place to pull in at the front to drop off bags (however, given that it's city-center, this is excusable). View from the room was horrible! At least it has an elevator. If I had it to do over again, I would stay at The Park House hotel, right next door - it looks much nicer! Note that we were in the disabled room - there's NO WAY a person in a wheelchair could navigate that tiny room - especially not to get into the bathroom! EDIT: The Lane has replied, that there wa someone at the desk to greet us when we checked in. This is not true; there were 4 of us there at the same time, and the desk was unstaffed. One of us had to call the number that was left in order to get someone to come and check us in. The desk clerk who came was informative, however he did not offer to help us with our bags. How could he - he was the only one there, and another couple was waiting to check in also. Regarding the accessibility in our room: it would be physically impossible

Eyre Square Short Stay

A very good option for a short stay in the city centre; this place is no-frills but everything is clean and comfy and it’s good value for the incredibly convenient location. The staff are very friendly which always helps

Staff was a little rude. The least friendly concierge we had on our trip. Additionally the bathroom was super weird. The shower was *entirely* exposed next to the sink and toilet so the entire space got wet when showering. The AC was loud and woke up my friend multiple times through the night unfortunately. But otherwise it was in a great location and we wished we stayed longer in Galway.

Quaint hotel in a great location

Quaint renovated hotel nicely located in the center of Galway. Street parking only, which was relatively easy to find and free overnight from 6pm to 8am. Friendly and helpful checkin staff. Walkable to all the top attractions and main drag. Lots of good restaurants nearby

Made a mistake with this ‘hotel’. A hotel, to me, has a lounge, a bar, a reception area, parking, etc. This place had none of these and I failed to check before booking. The room was very small (there are references to this in other posts, but I didn’t realise how small the rooms were). It’s more like a glorified hostel. If this is all you want then the place is fine, clean and tidy. Not for everyone. Wasn’t happy about the dog in the corridor during our stay either!

Good sleep!

One night, just to sleep. Small room, but all needed was around. Staff was very friendly, they helped us taking care of our bags the next day, and they were very communicative before our check in, very responsive. Location was very convenient close to the train and to the bar/restaurants area. All in walking distance.
