Wallace River Retreat is an enchanting private and peaceful escape set just 1 hour from Seattle in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains at Stevens Pass. This stunning property is a MUST SEE- photos just can't convey the tranquility and unique detail. The fully fenced 1 1/3 acre features a large hot tub, fire pit, mossy trails, fruit trees, towering conifers, hand carved art around every corner and private Wallace River access. The riverside studio offers a cozy place for musicians to gather- instruments provided! – or a meditative morning reflection. The 3-bedroom home was fully remodeled in Nov 2020, with guest comfort in mind, creating the perfect place for family and friends to enjoy what is sure to be an annual getaway full of magic and memories!

What a beautiful and LARGE property! All 4 of us ladies were super cozy on the couch together as well as in our rooms and the hot tub. We were so shocked at how large the property was! Which gave us plenty of outside time and by the river, which was so wonderful.

Just what we needed

We were only there for 3 days and 2 nights but every time we turned around we found a new place to enjoy. Our youngest were in the music studio for hours on end. Cornhole and hot tub were well used. This place was just as advertised maybe more so!

Riverside oasis

This riverside oasis is the best place to be. We watched humming birds, a beautiful raven, played board games, enjoyed the Gary Larson books, dipped our toes in the river and began our mornings walking the property. It is so lovely, relaxing, expertly well appointed and has something everyone can enjoy. This place is a treasure.

Beautiful property

Overall the property is incredible, there is a lot of special places to discover as you walk around the trails. However, if you were hoping to enjoy a view or even a glimpse of the river from the house, you will be just as disappointed as I was. We did enjoy the hot tub (again no view of river) and loved all the details around the property, it is very thought out.

Beautiful property and lovely house

This is a huge property with a large riverfront and beautiful trees and landscaping throughout - absolutely one of the best places we have ever stayed in. We loved all the outdoor spaces - played badmitton and bocce on the lawn, read in the hammocks, played games on the table by the river, made s'mores at the firepit, ate outside on both decks and soaked in the hot tub. We even splashed around in the river. So many places to escape by yourself or do things together. We cooked all our meals in the kitchen, which had everything we needed. The music shed was amazing for family jam sessions. The inside renovation was well done, comfortable and had all the ameneties we required, plus some extras that were nice - tons of games, DVDs, great exterior lighting, swings, and air conditioning. We didn't have a dog or young kids, but the property would be great for both as it is fenced all around. It was a fantastic, relaxing stay for our family - wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing surrounding.

We had a very good time at the house and thoroughly enjoyed the river that is just steps away. Our dogs loved the yard and the access to water. The house is clean, well-kept, and the AC was definitely a plus during a hot summer stay!

😎 Awesome!

This property is beautiful and very well maintained. The cabin is comfy and has a ton of charm. Lots of little special details. The grounds are amazing with lots of adorable and beautiful different spots to explore and enjoy. Would absolutely recommend this property. They provided lots of indoor and outdoor games with fishing poles and everything. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, they have a beautifully equipped music studio and allow access!!! Amazing property.

Picturesque Haven

Lovely property that truly lived up to the description and pictures. Every detail in the house is kept up with nice quality and amenities. We really enjoyed exploring the property which provided ample surprises throughout the week, including some nighttime guitar strumming. It was also fun to have our meals at a different location each time, given the great variety of tables throughout the property. We heard some exciting wild animal sounds early one morning- probably the bobcat. Highly recommend the Wallace Falls hike that even our 5 yo managed without issue. Thank you to the owners for a truly amazing vacation.

Amazing property

We stayed at Wallace River Retreat for 3 days and it was amazing! So peaceful and relaxing, everything was clean and well stocked. By far the most unique and beautiful property I've been to. We plan on returning again soon.

It was my first rental experience and it did meet my expectations. Lots of flowers lots of places to sit and enjoy nature and the music room was a lot of fun too. Made s'mores by the campfire. Fun experience

Great escape

Great property and quality details throughout. Neighbors are a bit closer than expected, but a very tranquil getaway with with fantastic amenities. Our young boys loved all the outdoor space and music room!
