EL MEDANO is a small fishing village, nestled in a unique landscape on the island of Tenerife; It is characterized by its preservation of the natural essence, your peace of mind and a relaxed atmosphere.

The beach of EL MEDANO, is of the few that has natural sand and has not been manipulated by artificial ramparts; with 2 km long, is the largest natural Beach Tenerife, alternating small coves and natural areas along the way. For its cleanliness and concern for the conservation of the natural environment, this beach has obtained the 'blue flag' from the year 2005.

The apartment is located in the very end of the beach of EL MEDANO, right on the edge that separates it from the beach, EL CABEZO; from the terrace can be seen both beaches and, as a backdrop, “The Red Mountain”, true characteristic symbol of this beautiful natural enclave.

It is located in a quiet and privileged area highlighting its pleasant climate; throughout the year, temperatures remain mild, not being neither very cold in winter nor very hot in summer, so it is known worldwide as the eternal spring.

It has terrace and swimming pool, within walking distance of natural beach of golden sand, especially qualified to practice windsurfing and kitesurfing, nearby is the fishing port and the promenade of natural wood to go jogging or cycling.

EL MEDANO beach is known worldwide for the practice of WINDSURFING and KITE surfing, hosting the world WINDSURFING CHAMPIONSHIP in his category “Queen of the waves”.

In the main square of the town, held numerous performances in almost all the weekends and more intensely, in the summer months, highlighting the celebration of folk performances of song and dance from different countries, performances by local music groups, singers or gymnastics in group competitions.

A local flea market, where you can buy typical Canarian products is mounted during some weekends. There are a wide variety of culinary offer own and internationally, highlighting the typical dishes of this land with abundant fish in the area.

1 bedroom apartment, which has a living room, kitchen, bathroom and terrace facing South, with a Interior floorspace of 42,00 m² and 10 m² exterior. The bedroom has a double bed and wardrobe. The room has a sofa bed with additional capacity for two people. The terrace is quite wide (10 m²), enjoying direct views to the swimming pool and the sea; It is sheltered from the prevailing winds in the area, and as furniture, has seating for outdoor and additional table accommodating up to 4 people.

ery close to the REINA SOFIA airport, with access from the South Motorway, which connects with the island of Tenerife. There are public (bus, taxi) transport, car hire is recommended to visit the rest of the island.

Just what was needed

A lovely apartment in a beautiful setting and lovely views. The apartment was a little bit tired in some areas but this did not affect my stay. The hosts were very helpful and easy to contact. A bottle of wine and water on the table when I arrived. Would stay there again.

the best location to stay in El Medano

My parents have been going to this apartment for 3 consecutive years. Each year they stay there between 5 to 6 weeks. The price/quality of the apartment is splendid and the view from the terrace is heaven! You can enjoy the view of the montana roja (red mountain) and the ocean at every time of the day in all its colors and splendour. The apartmentbuilding is very tranquil and is very close (very short walking distance) to everything you might want: supermarkets, restaurants, tapabars, busstop etc. They find it the ideal place to stay in El Medano!

Die Wohnung hat eine tolle Lage, alles ist leicht zu Fuß erreichbar.

Ein Wasserschaden in der Wohnung über uns hat die Urlaubsstimmung etwas getrübt. Dafür trifft unser Vermieter natürlich keine Schuld aber wir mussten 2 Nächte in eine Ersatzwohnung außerhalb der Anlage.

Nice place to stay

Nice apartment with everything you need for spending some nice weeks in El Médano. Excellent view to the harbour wall, the bay and the red mountain. Very good position, near to the beaches and the main squares with plenty of restaurantes.

The apartment was absolutely grotty! and not the same as the pictures showed

The complex was clean and well maintained but our apartment was terrible . It was not clean! stale pasta in cupboards and thick dust on lampshades in bedroom. The sink in the kitchen was chipped and rusty. The pots were chipped and one mug and a chipped cup. No kettle. Fridge would not close properly. Bathroom shower taps full of rust. Old towels with one hand towel . Bedding left for mid week change did not fit properly and unable to change pillowcases again unable to fit. Keys just left with us no instructions anywhere even what to do on our departure No TV or music, very old uncomfortable settee in lounge, think this apartment was not at all like the pictures in the original advert. We feel we have been very much overcharged for such a BAD apartment and we would warn people against staying in it. Only good part was the balcony and views and we spent most of our time with warm clothing in the evenings there as we didn't like to sit in lounge Throughout our stay no one contacted us to see if everything was alright. We like El Madano and would like to stay there again but definitely not in that apartment

Tolle Aussicht!

Hatten eine Woche in der schönsten Anlage von El Medano. Das Apartment bietet alles was man braucht inkl. Kaffeemaschine". Alles fussläufig zu erreichen. Gepflegte Anlage, Preis - Leistung stimmt. Wir kommen wieder. Un apartamento estupendo. Lo tiene todo y tiene una Vista preciosa. Volveremos!

Toller Blick, friedliche Anlage

Wir kannten den Ort und die Gegebenheiten dort bereits, die Apartementanlage jedoch nicht. Sie ist gepflegt, ruhig und bietet einen wunderbaren Meerblick. Den ungeheizten Pool (Salzwasser, kein Chlor!) haben wir - brrr! - nur probehalber genutzt und das Meer vorgezogen. Die Wohnung liegt 2.OG im Innenwinkel des U-förmigen Blocks: So hat sie zwar nicht den größten, jedoch einen ausreichend großen und vor allem windgeschützten Balkon (mit Couch, toll!), den wir ganztägig genutzt haben. El Medano ist als Surferparadies ziemlich windig, doch hinter den getönten Scheiben der Balkonbrüstung konnten man dem Treiben auf dem Wasser ungestört zusehen. Platz in Schlaf- und Wohnzimmer sind ausreichend für zwei Erwachsene, im WZ gibt es, wenn nötig, noch eine Klappcouch (nicht ausprobiert). Das Bad ist mit allem Nötigen ausgerüstet und sauber. Manches ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Abflüsse und Küchenteil (amerikanisch im Wohnzimmer) gehören dazu, deshalb einen Stern weniger. Die Küchenausstattung hätten wir uns etwas kompletter gewünscht: Da wir selbst gern kochen fehlten uns ein paar Utensilien. Aber es ist Urlaub und die tolle Lage macht alles wett. Freundlicher Mailkontakt zum Vermieter, unkomplizierte Schlüsselübergabe bei An- und Abreise. Eine ganz und gar empfehlenswerte Adresse - vielen Dank für das wunderbare Fereinquartier!

Fine and friendly place, well situated in nice little town.

Perhaps El Médano and this apartment aren't the glitziest holiday resorts, but that's about all there is to comment: Nice apartment in well situated building, sea view, pool... and great coffee around the corner for breakfast. Very friendly reception by Maria. El Médano seems to be more alive than your average tourist town, locals enjoy the beach as much as us tourists. Hope to return some day... Lots if sportive opportunities: All sorts of surfing, cycling, hiking...

Zur schönen Aussicht

Winter in Teneriffa! In dieser sonnenverwöhnten Wohnung mit faszinierender Aussicht auf die Bucht von Medano mit ihren Surfern, ist das kalte Europa gefühlt Licht- jahre entfernt. Ruhig gelegen und trotzdem nur ein paar Schritte ins Zentrum von El Medano, lässt diese Wohnung kaum Wünsche offen. Günter I.

Wir sind seit 20 Jahren in Medano und sind froh diese Wohnung gefunden zu haben.Meerblick, Poolblickund Blick auf den Montana Roja! Vom grossen Balkon in der 2.Etage kann man das bunte Treiben Der Surfer und Kiter dden ganzen Tag beobachten. Bars, Supermarkt und Bäckerei fusslaufig. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne!
