I was the only guest for the night I stayed. I loved the historical charm of the house an d the scattered antiques and decor. Some might have been a bit freaked out to be all alone in a house with so many rooms. But I felt the warm charm. No one was there when we arrived but the instructions were left in the kitchen and my dog and I almost wish we could have stayed another night

This is a historic place visited by the likes of Henry Ford, filled with fishing memorabilia on the walls, that is a great choice for a group (or family) who wish to test their skills on the Au Sable or other local trout streams Terry and the other staff were wonderful. The suite I stayed in, one of two with their own bath rooms, was commodious. It's well located on the north branch of the Au Sable, and only about 25 minutes from Grayling.

Fantastic experience.

I called ahead because I would be checking in late. I was given Josh’s phone number and reached out to him to set up a check in time, he was very responsive and kind and was there to show me around at almost 11pm. The room was great, very comfortable bed, big bathroom, and breakfast was great as well.

We enjoyed 2 days at this lovely, vintage, lodge. If you like history, antiques, and God's beautiful creation, LOOK no more - THIS is where you want to be. There are 2 very lovely porches to enjoy your book or simply listen to the Au Sable & birds and a few steps down to the river for fishing. Great dining opportunities are close or up to 20 minutes away. We plan to stay here again!!
