Quite remote location on Manhanock Pond, in Parkman Maine. Our bunk house and our Main house share 18 acres of land and 1/4 mile of waterfront. Manhanock and Harlow Ponds are managed as one body of water. Fish pass freely under a bridge on the causeway that separates the ponds. The ponds provide a popular fishery boat anglers and for shore anglers from the causeway. Pickerel and the two basses provide summer-long fishing. The ponds are open to ice fishing. The town of Parkman is in the center of Maine, with 843 residents. We have one local store, but donât worry the surrounding towns have plenty to offer.
Parkman is small town with great scenery. You can travel roads both paved and dirt roads in most any vehicle.
Would you like us to host an event? We can do that too. We offer Thunder Hall, a 30â x 40â event pavilion nestled among walnut trees, and The Haven, a 30â x 30â indoor hall for inclement weather. We provide tables, chairs, place settings, and a sound system with microphones to ensure your event runs smoothly. We can also set up and clean up for you when the party is over. Additional services include a self-serve drink table/cooler and packed lunches for adventurers. A separate fee schedule is available for meals, Thunder Hall, The Haven, catering, and related equipment/services.
For even larger groups, we offer the option to book both the Bunkhouse and the Main House, eliminating the need to share the grounds and providing exclusive access to all amenities.
This property is incredible. It's relaxing, it's clean, its beyond comfortable and cozy. Carrie, the property manager is AMAZING to work with! We even utilized candid photography. Everyone there is so pleasant and kind and totally non intrusive at all. We're deciding to do it annually now!
My family and I spent two days in Parkman and ended up extending our trip by 1 more day just so we could enjoy the full extent of the property. The bunk house was very comfortable and included all the creature comforts one can ask for. Both our host Carrie and Frank were very eager to make sure we enjoyed the full extent of the property which included a tour, an elaborate welcome book, snacks, and Frank even set us up with smores by the fire which all of us really enjoyed. Fishing off the private doc, kayaking, picking fresh fruits/vegetables, and just lounging around on the porch experiencing the beauty Dragonwood has to offer was an experience that will not be soon forget. This place is a must if your visting Maine!
We had a great girls trip at Dragonwood! Great experience working with the staff, enjoying the lake, and exploring the property! Would recommend staying here 100%!
