Not great to find or get sleep

Once you eventually find hotel (although great for close proximity to St.Josephs Cathedral, the lake & Vietnam Airlines HO for hourly airport minibus transfer only $2 or 40,000 dong available to anyone), dont be surprised to hear constant banging/clanking noises from pipes & hot water system throughout hotel. I arrived 10pm from Cat Ba island & due to leave 7.30am for airport - noise from pipes was still obvious at 2am :( Whilst seems cheap, there are so many places available £10pn. No towels, soap, hairdryer & double bed on 5th floor really creaky/uncomfortable (am used to vietnamese standard as this was my last night of 4weeks). Staff was however helpful on my 9hr stay, carried suitcase up/down 5th floor & also to main road of Cathedral to show direction of airport transfer Sasco minibus.
