4/10 â MĂ©diocre

The Old Quarter is exciting at first, but it quickly becomes hectic, loud, and overwhelming. CafĂ©s and shops are everywhere, but this atmosphere exists throughout much of Hanoi, and taxis are very inexpensiveâso staying right here isnât necessary.
My experience at this hotel was disappointing. The room layout was awkward and cramped, making it difficult to move around. I was traveling solo but placed in a family-style room with multiple beds and a strange layout. There was no nightstand, outlets were poorly placed, the refrigerator barely worked, and the TV was dated with inaccessible HDMI ports.
The biggest issue was the air conditioning. Even set to 19â20°C, the room stayed warm during the day and only cooled slightly late at night. Noise was also a problem, with loud housekeeping early in the morning and poor sound insulation. I also experienced smoke odor late at night.
Staff was polite and listened, but the alternative room shown later was actually smaller and felt like a downgrade. I paid $75â78 USD, but the room felt worth closer to a lot less at least until they fix their problems. I would not stay here again.
I would have gave a one star, but the two stars was because the lady at the front desk was nice and listened but my overall experience was still not great.
