The Royal Palace is an absolutely stunning hotel. The rooms are large and modern. Beds are of fine quality as is all fittings, fixtures and bathroom. The staff are very professional and always at the ready to assist. Included with your accommodation is delicious breakfast. Another nice welcome touch is the delicious bowl of fruit that is delivered to your room on arrival. Royal Palace you have our gold star award!

What an amazing find this hotel was. A local friend recommended this hotel to my wife and me. I trusted his judgment and booked. We have been here more than a week. While we have stayed in Hanoi's exclusive hotels, costing much more money in the past, the Royal Palace has been much more satisfying. The hotel is on a quiet side street in the Old Quarter, but just a few minutes walk to the excitement of shopping and eating. The most noteworthy comment is the friendly and interested staff. My wife fell in love with a few of them and would happily take them home with us! Choose this hotel and you will be feeling like royalty.

Cet hôtel mérite assurément d'être ajouté à ma liste de « joyaux ». Un hôtel flambant neuf, en plein centre-ville. Le directeur, très présent, était déterminé à rendre mon séjour aussi agréable que possible. Tout le personnel était charmant, tant par son service que par son efficacité. Je suis un voyageur aguerri et c'est sans aucun doute le meilleur rapport qualité-prix que j'aie jamais eu. Un hôtel de premier ordre à tous points de vue.

Can't have any complaints with this hotel. For the price it's great value. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, they are very friendly and helpful in a way I have never before experienced. We booked a trip to Sapa and to Halong Bay with them and both trips were flawless. When we returned at 5am on the night train from Sapa they gave us a room for free to get some sleep before we started our day, we stayed in the room until 1pm and were not once disturbed. The rooms are better than 4 star hotels in other countries i have visited, very clean and flatscreen TV and computer with free Wifi. The location is right in the center of the old Quarter.

Royal Palace hotel was our best stay in Vietnam. For $55 a night in the Old Quarter we got a beautiful room (701) and the best service possible. Every time we left the hotel we got a farewell by name and every time we came in they asked us how our time was, which was very appreciated. They didn't push us with tours but when we asked they were so helpful and got us some great trips to Sapa and Halong Bay that we'll never forget. They also charged us the standard price so they weren't tacking on extra commission. They went out of their way to help us at all times. They called us a taxi when we needed it, came with us to the train station so we didn't get too confused and recommended shops and restaurants that were all excellent.

I stayed at this hotel as part of my travels around SE Asia and can say that it really was one of the best. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The free internet access in each room is a real win and it is pretty reasonable too! I stayed here twice, first room was away from the road and was lovely and quiet, the second time was road facing, but even that wasn't too noisy at all. The staff at this hotel are unbelievably helpful. They helped me book my tour to Halong Bay, advised me on sightseeing in the city, but they most amazing thing they did was help me track down the taxi driver when I left my mobile phone in his car!! I still can't believe I got it back!! The hotel staff were incredible!

We would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again. The mangement and staff were amazing, nothing was ever a problem.This hotel is spotless, the rooms are very modern, the buffet breakfast is very good. They have a very good tour and travel desk in the foyer which will cater for all your travel needs.

We stayed 3 nights and the staff, particularly Jimmi were great. The rooms were spotless with a lovely modern shower room and plenty of hot water. The rooms were quiet, adequate in size, and great value for the 3 nights. They organised another manager Alex to take us for our tailor made suits and he was great. They organised our tours, kept our luggage while we went to Halong Bay and even got one of their staff to motorbike my laptop to the airport when I left it behind. One tour I highly recommend which Jimmi organised, is with university students. They get to practise their English and we had a young persons insight into present day Vietnam. The hotel deserves to be in the top 10. I have travelled around Asia many times on holiday and this level of service is exceptional. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance.
