There's a restaurant on site. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. Public spaces have free WiFi. A library, a terrace, and a garden are also featured at The George Carvery & Hotel. Self parking is free.
Smoking is allowed in designated areas at this 3.5-star Harrogate inn.
We didnt realise the pub wasnt actually open until Thursday to Sunday! So that was a bit disappointing for us as we were looking forward to the carvery. But it didnt spoil our stay. (Probably my fault for not realising when I booked the trip last minute!)
The staff were super friendly and very helpful. They were great at giving information on the local area. We checked out their tips and were very pleased.
Great parking on site and beds were super comfortable. Room was plenty warm. Shower was not very powerful.
Very happy with our stay.
My 8 year old sons review...
Beautiful, very kind manners, lovely bed, fancy bathroom, the orange chocolate chip cookies were amazing! 5 stars.
Thanks for a lovely stay đ
It is easy to find and a good car part. From there it just got better. There was a lively welcome as we entered the bar and very efficient check in. The room was very new well looked after. We had dinner in the carvery and then worked on our laptops in the bar afterwards. The bed was very comfortable, strange for a hotel I find, and slept very well. The only downside is the hot water in the shower does take an age to arrive but once it does, there is plenty of it. We will return.
There was no food available at all. The restaurant is closed Monday to Wednesday. I knew there was no breakfast provided but was expecting dinner. It was a good job I had brought food with me.
The establishment is a carvery that does sunday roasts from Thursday to Sunday. I did not check this detail ahead of time and missed this detail. However the establishment is not too far from nearby cities that had amble dining options, but missing out on the roast experience was definitely regrettable. So I would advise anyone lodging here pay extra attention to this detail if dining is a key experience for you.
The lodging was relatively straightforward to check-in and checkout. There was plenty of parking available (although I canât speak to the days if the carvery is open for dining) and the room was clean and well decorated.
The hotel staff are very welcoming and lovely at 4:30 check in and also served a beer after the carvery closed. If you can not do stairs, this is not for you. The room was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable. The tub chairs in the room were comfy enough but no coffee table or end table to place the coffee/tea cups on. Overall it was very good value for money.
