Great location - pool and beach area were well appointed. Poolside service is convenient. Staff was attentive and front desk was able to provide adjoining rooms for the entire stay even though we added an additional night.

I chose this hotel based on past reviews was extremely disappointed at the condition of the beach the cost of chair rentals and conditions of the wooden chairs. The parking set up whereby you have to walk up and down a ramp to access your car was not ideal. The foo/restaurant was was very good and pool area enjoyable. Did not appreciate room location where we had to go up and down and up to access facilities. Felt like beach was a public beach however could be because of recent storms. First time to HH would look elsewhere. Was not a tropical Hilton experience.

We were forced to change rooms twice after checking in. The first was due to our room's toilet leaking at the base any time it was flushed. The 2nd move was caused by a TV that did not work. A service person spent an hour trying to get a workable TV, bringing in 3 television set - none of which would get reception. The elevators and floors were dirty. The staff did nothing to compensate us for having to change rooms twice. I expected to have a discount for the inconveniences caused through no fault of our own. I would not recommend the Hilton to anyone staying in Hilton Head based upon our experience.

3 days of rest and relaxation

I have to say I was apprehensive when I saw some of the past reviews but we had a great experience! We got into our oceanfront room early and the view was gorgeous! Every staff member was polite and helpful. Great food and drinks at the poolside bar and good breakfast buffet. All of the servers were beyond great! The public beach is steps away where you can rent chairs and an umbrella. The room was clean and serviced daily. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again.

not as nice as i was expecting

the condition of the rooms was a bit surprising. paint on walls and celings were chipped... touch up paint didnt match.... clearly moisture issues with air vents.... rust issues with emergency fire spigot...sliding doors to balcony were full of smudges...etc

Not a Hilton Experience.

Found the hotel to be annoying. From parking down a ramp to my room being on 1st floor, you had to continuously go up to go down to go up to eat, go to beach, car, etc. Breakfast excellent overall food very good. Beach in poor shape could be sue to recent storms. The rental lounges were in horrible shape wooden and required to be returned at 5 pm.

The bathroom had a sewerage smell, and the shower water does not stay hot if the sink and shower are on at the same time. The beds were comfy and the staff was friendly. The grounds are well kept.

Bird droppings on the balcony. No free coffee. What is in the room is not enough. Dirty exterior rugs in hallway. broken linoleum in the elevators. Dirty exterior areas and rusty railings. Trashy areas in the parking lot. Cleaning should include vacuuming while staying.
