Ocean One 307 - Oceanfront 3rd Floor Condo

This 3rd floor oceanfront condo sleeps up to 6 people with a king bed in the master bedroom, two twins in bedroom 2, and a living room sleeper sofa. With decks off the living room and master bedroom, guests staying in Ocean One 307 enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and its white sandy beaches. After hours in the surf, vacationers rinse under the outdoor shower located on the complex's private beach walkway and then dip into the oceanfront swimming pool. Ocean One has added a brand new grilling area to the complex just beyond the pool.
Ocean One is a five story elevator building located in South Forest Beach. Among the amenities offered throughout Hilton Head Island, Ocean One is one block from the Coligny Beach Market, a quaint downtown area that offers guests a wide selection of restaurants, shopping venues, and entertainment for all ages. Besides a cheerful decor, the kitchen and baths in Ocean One 307 have been recently renovated with sparkling white appliances and cabinetry.

The dishes were filthy. Incredibly sticky. I dont see how anyone would not notice them. The washing machine made a terrible loud noise. We had to unplug it while not in use.The dryer (rusty on top), washing machine and dishwasher needs replacing. The twin beds in the second bedroom need replacing. Loud and squeaky when turning over wakes an individual up. The whole place needs a little paint. Couch not comfortable, furniture (couch and chairs) need replacing look worn. One of the chairs does not have a roller on it. It will stratch the floor if moved. Guarantee it.

Needs help

Location = great. View and access to the beach was great. Cleanliness = poor. Kitchen, bathrooms were not clean nor were the utinsils/plates in the kitchen. Bathrooms - both were in very poor condition. Toilet in the guest bathroom was loose and could easily be moved around. Bathroom cielings were peeling.... and the medicine cabinet looked liked something had splattered inside. Bottom line = i've stayed in older properties... and have zero issues. This was poorly kept and older. For the price would consider some updating or general deep cleaning.

Outdated! Will not rent the unit again. The property is in need of renovations. The ceilings are peeling. The balcony ceiling appears to have water damage. One of the coffee pots is rusted. The fabric furniture needs to be updated. Visible stains.

The unit was generally clean, but the furniture was very dirty. Carpet in bedrooms stained and dirty looking. Toilet paper holder in master bathroom broken. Medicine cabinet very old and rusty. Curtains in master bedroom falling down. Needs some refurbishment

Location great! Condo, old and outdated!

Beautiful view of the ocean. But the condo is in desperate need of updating. Hasn’t been updated since the 80’s. Furniture stained, dirty, etc. every floor lamp was completely rusted. Drywall has water damage throughout, surprised the washer and dryer even work!. The entire unit needs to be gutted and redone. We might be coming back next year, but it would be a zero chance for this one if nothing is done.

One day while we were there they performed maintenance on the deck - that we were not informed of - which made it unusable for 5 hours during the day. Luckily we had planned a trip to Savannah that afternoon otherwise my review might have been less enthusiastic.

Nice but noisy

The condo was nicely cleaned, and we were pleased with the attention to towels, starter supplies (toilet paper, etc). It could use some updating, though. The only real issue was that we were right next door to a resort with a tiki bar where they had loud, live music most of the afternoon and evening, every day. The band did pack up at 10:00 each night, but on Sunday afternoon, they were so loud that we couldn't sit on our deck and hear each other speak.

Great location; condo is a bit “tired”

This condo is the perfect Forest Beach location. The ocean views are amazing, the condo is spacious, balcony is the perfect size for 4 people, pool is nicely sized (NOTE: it is not heated), and overall property is very easy to navigate. Access to the beach is super easy and includes outdoor “showers” to rinse off sand when you return. The condo layout is great and has all that you need, including beach chairs and toys. That said, given the price we felt a few things need to be updated. The twin beds are VERY squeaky - my boys had trouble sleeping as a result. The king bed mattress is a getting pretty “curved” (someone u-shaped from front to back). If pillows are critical for your sleep, suggest bringing your own. The ones provided are VERY firm and old. I like firm pillows but these had no give at all. Lastly, the cookware is quite old (Teflon wearing off) and what is provided is rather limited (i.e. only one small mixing bowl). The kitchen utensils are adequate but the chef knives are very dull (there is a handheld sharpener but it can’t get the job done). If you are planning to do a lot of cooking, you may feel challenged. If not, you’ll be fine. The bedroom with the twin beds really does not have a window. The one in the picture looks out to an interior corridor and does not let in any light. My boys felt like they were in a cave. This might not matter to most people, but thought worth a mention. Overall, we had a fantastic time and the sleeping was really the only detraction. It may seem like I’m nit-picking, but for the price I feel that the items listed above should be addressed.

great location and great staff! Could use some updating.

Overall, we were extremely happy with this rental. The biggest irritant was the carpeting. It was either extremely dirty or sustained, and I suspect a combination of the two. Cleaning crew did a fairly good job overall but a little more attention to basic dusting would have been appreciated. The rental staff were spectacular and their operation seems extremely well organized.

Great location

The location is 5 star. The condo is very dated and needs some tender loving care. Unfortunately the cleanliness had much to be desired. This is no fault of the owner, he is at the mercy of the cleaning crew the carpet in the bedrooms is beyond cleaning. Needs to be replaced. The cleaning service needs to be addressed. Once that issue is resolved the unit would be 5 stars also I believe all bed spreads should be replaced with duvets. At least you would have a better chance of a duvet cover being washed than a king size bedspread.

Another great HHI vacation

This property was fabulous. Clean, rooms, beachfront with 2 balconies and a close walk to Coligny for everything we needed. We love HHI and I will surely look at this location again for our next time down.
