Pylos Hotel

This hotel is typical of other hotels in the area. If you’ve never stayed before you might be surprised. But otherwise, everything is as described. The front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. They spoke limited English however their customer service was great. The electricity, A/C and TV all worked great but you have to put your room key card in the slot for anything to work. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a stocked mini fridge and an electric kettle in case you wanted to make tea or ramen or need a cold beer or drink; very convenient. The bathroom was different: the toilet is in the shower. But once you get passed the weirdness of that, everything else was great; there was hot water; also complimentary shampoo/conditioner and toothbrush and toothpaste. I used the Spa that is on the property for a massage. It was a good experience; I was a little leery because of reviews of massage places, in general, in Ho Chi MIng city. The area felt very safe. There was a security guard on site. I was able to walk to coffee shops, and the main road was only a block away.

Did not stay at this no-tell motel. Massage parlor in front with a back door leading to the motel rooms. Massage girls awfully dressed up for doing massages. Down a narrow, dark alley where it was a VERY different neighborhood than the pictures. Our driver dropped us off and got out of there! We did not feel safe or comfortable staying there.
