Serenity Log Inn -Log out and Log Inn to Serenity

Welcome to Serenity Log Inn. This authentic 1930s log cabin offers two bedrooms, full bath, fully furnished kitchen and screened porch to enjoy your coffee in the morning. Located one mile from the historical town of Kimmswick and 25 miles from St. Louis. 5 min to hwy 55

There is a $30.00 fee per use of fireplace. Fee covers Firestarter, dry wood for burning, maintenance, and set up, plus$18.00 fee first use to cover clean up. Due to infestation of insects, no outside wood allowed. 24 hr notice required.

We have wireless internet with a strong router signal. HDTV Clearsteam 4 Max Antenna ensure local channels to 70-mile radius. Netflix and hulu available. You can stream your own video through Roku.

Guest access
Serenity Log Inn is a single level with one step to access the rear entry into the kitchen.

Other things to note.
Air mattress can be inflated using a small hair dryer located in the bathroom vanity.

Deeply distressing experience.The property listing six guests. Owner living in the basement, their presence felt intrusive and unsettling.owner entered, unannounced walked inside confronting us in an aggressive,disrespectful manner. questioned the cooler containing oderless dietary meals accused us of bringing additional unregistered guests leave immediately. Then realized she was wrong. extremely upsetting. breakfast included,was a few raw eggs, used condiments,bananas,low-quality loaf of white bread. cleanliness, concerning human hair on the bed sheets, unpleasant odor,dirty oven tray. cigarette butt was present, intentionally left to later accuse us of violating the rule. We had No smoke or drink. quiet evening having dinner and went to bed. No use of shower, we felt uncomfortable. property left clean .owner charged an additional two extra guests and an “unregistered event,” billed over four hundred dollars.We had no visitors, hosted no gathering, and conducted ourselves respectfully and quietly throughout.Upon disputing charges with VRBO, we requested evidence to support her claims. we had been recorded inside the property without our knowledge, our private dinner conversation was labeled as an “event.” This raises serious concerns regarding privacy and legality.In summary, the owner’s behavior was invasive, disrespectful, and unjustified. The false accusations, unexpected surveillance, and excessive charges made this an extremely negative experience for me & my family.

Beautiful house. The renters were very sweet and Godly. We loved that. The only issue we had is that they stay in the basement of the rental and that is uncomfortable to be honest. It should be noted on the VRBO that the owners stay on site in the basement to enable the buyer to decide if that is ok for them. We made it work, but did not expect the owners to live in the basement. If you want a beautiful place to stay with activities in the vicinity, it is beautiful, but if you are people that enjoy seclusion and privacy, it is probably not the place for you.

My husband, sister and I stayed here for three days two nights for my grandsons first birthday. The place was perfect for the three of us. Perfect home away from home

The cabin was very clean , spacious , loved screened porch . When we arrived , very soothing - light music was playing , kitchen is stocked with all essentials . The host also provided for breakfast . Dennie is prompt in communication . Enjoyed our stay .
