We checked out at 11am and then we left our luggage at the hotel because our flight was at 9pm then we came to collect the luggage at 4 pm. We asked them to use the toilet and they said they don't have toilet, we have to hold it until the airport, that took us 1 and half hours to reach the airport. The breakfast was very simple and there were only a few choices, apart from this everything was fine.

Perfect for our family trip

My three sons and I stayed from 21-30 August and had a wonderful time. The location was ideal, close to all the main attractions and yet hotel itself was a quiet and relaxing. Our room was clean, cool and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful with the kids. We will definitely be back on our next trip.

Great location, friendly staff, affordable.

We enjoyed our stay. We got the family suite. It was perfect for us. The breakfast was good. Just lacked a little variety. The location was very good in sultanahmat. Walkable. The hotel is a little on an upslope. So be sure able to walk uphill for a bit to some stores / shops / cafes. Everyone from front desk to cleaners to cooks were very nice.

Great place to stay. The staff are super kind and wonderful people. The hotel is small but it is a great space. You are nearby transportation services, attraction spots and restaurants - super convenient. It is a family friendly hotel. I definitely recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed.

Nice mid range hote

Quiet but steep street, taxi’s struggle to drop and pick up outside. Rooms snug but clean. Bathrooms nice but do need an extractor fan, as paint peeling off the ceiling of 401. Breakfast good. Terrace could do with a little TLC to make the most of it. Room 401 right by lift mechanics so can be noisy. Very handy for main attractions. Eating out in Istanbul very expensive but hotel does recommend local cafe that’s very reasonable. Reception staff friendly.

Loved the Artika Hotel in the heart of Sultanamet.

The Artika was a “WOW” experience for our first trip to Istanbul. We chose it primarily for its location - easy walking distance from the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Cisterns and the Topkapi gardens. What made it “WOW”? The staff! Fluent English who looked at us as family. Solid advice about everything from security (walking is safe at all hours) to restaurants, to what scams that tourists may fall for (overpriced carpets). Honest, warm smiles were given along with tidbits of the city’s history. Our room was spotless with a modern bathroom. A minibar and safe were in the room. Breakfast was extra but we were too jet-lagged to partake. Lots of restaurants were in easy walking distance - albeit on fairly steep cobbled streets. Our room was quiet, a couple of streets off a larger road.
