Really loved our stay at Marmara. The room was clean everyday. The staff were kind & helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, it had many options to choose from.

The Marmara Taksim Hotel – Honest Review Breakfast Breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of options. The omelette chefs are always kind, and the breakfast staff overall is friendly and professional. Location We love the location. It’s close to the metro, restaurants, and shopping. Every driver in Istanbul knows the hotel, which makes getting around very easy. Rooftop 360 The rooftop view is absolutely spectacular. Drinks are not very strong for our taste, so we recommend beer. The rooftop restaurant looked nice, although we didn’t dine there. Just remember—it’s very windy, so bring a jacket. Room 1421 The room is a good size, and the Bosporus view is breathtaking. Waking up every morning and opening the window to that scene was the highlight of our stay. Reception The lobby is cozy and very clean. Reception staff is friendly and welcoming. There is a metal detector at the entrance for added security, which we appreciated. Staff Outside the Entrance This area needs improvement. While there are hotel employees outside, they rarely speak to or assist foreign guests. They mostly interact with locals. As tourists, we expected some guidance or help. No one asked if we needed directions or transportation—something basic for a five-star hotel. Major Complaint – Smoking Issue We stayed five nights in Room 1421 on a non-smoking floor, but someone nearby was smoking constantly. The smell was so strong it filled our room every night. My wife has respiratory problems, and it

Misleading and Unprofessional – Beware of Mini Bar Charges I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. Upon check-in, the bellboy clearly told me the minibar and snacks were included in the room — either free or complimentary. The next day, the staff member who restocked the fridge confirmed the same. To my shock, during checkout I was charged 6,750 TL (around $168 USD) for minibar and snack usage. This was never mentioned or clarified properly until the last moment. This kind of misleading information and hidden charges feels like a scam. Extremely unprofessional behavior for a hotel claiming to offer quality service. I do not recommend staying here,

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Ms. Fatima Kutlucan Navruz, the Guest Relations Manager, whose warm welcome and thoughtful attentiveness made me feel instantly at home. She embodies the spirit of Turkish hospitality, is graceful and kin always one step ahead in anticipating guests' needs. Her personal touches made my experience feel unique and deeply appreciated. A special thanks also to the Reception Manager, who ensured my check-in process was seamless, and to Mr. Okan, who personally welcomed me with professionalism and genuine care.
