The Argos Inn was a big disappointment, as was the town of Ithaca. The man that greeted us at check-in had no sense of hospitality and seemed totally blasé; that put a damper on our stay. The room, vastly overpriced, was small and noisy, due to the loud patrons from the downstairs bar and the lack of soundproofing. Overall, the inn lacks charm and character, and has zero amenities. It parallels the center of the town unfortunately and a sense of urban decay floats in the air. Don't waste your time and money...

I really want to love Argos. Truly a wonderful concept. Visited last year and had a lovely stay so decided to repeat it. It was noisy. Partially from thumping music from next door, possibly. Partially from an inconsiderate group of people who were having a very loud conversation outside after 1am that went on for about an hour. The next morning, while enjoying coffee in the sunroom, I heard the laugh that I heard in the very early morning from outside. Turns out that it was an employee. How disappointing . They should know better than to be that disruptive.
