I had booked and paid for a room with a partial ocean view. When I checked-in they said all they had were 3 rooms at the end of the hallways on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor. I took the one on the 2nd floor but it had no table and no chairs, just a bed. I went to the front desk and said I should be given the room In reserved and paid for. She gave me a different room on the 5th floor with a majestic "partial view of the ocean" and the room had a table and 2 chairs (what I had booked through Travelocity.com). I was very happy with the 2nd room. Everything was fine after that.

They moved me from the 1st room on the 2nd flóor as it had to table and no chairs and a view of the pool when I had booked a room with a partial ocean view. The new room was on a higher floor, with a table and 2 chairs AND a partial view of the ocean. I am now happy they honored the original reservation on Travelocity

Great location at the beginning of Ali'i Drive. Parking process is dumb. Make sure to get a pass for onsite parking every morning before they "sell out" and make you park across the street for $40 and give you a partial reimbursement. They should just give one pass that covers the duration of your stay.

Room was ok, but carpet is gross and the bed uncomfortable. They also charge $25 a day for parking and $25 per day for “amenities”. Apparently that means free coffee in the morning, and free WiFi. Hmmm

The place is fine. I've stayed here before and will likely stay again in the future. Its a very reasonable price for the location. It would be nice if there were more options in Kona that were affordable, glad Pacific 19 is here. Nothing fancy but that's okay. This time I stayed in Garden view which was 2nd building back on 2nd floor, had view of bamboo and that's it but lanai was big and so was the room. Single bed, but that was all I needed. Coffee in the morning if you go in time to get it from the lobby. If you sleep in you may miss it. Parking was "full" so they asked me to park across the street. That was fine. Its another hotel with a big lot and an automatic gate. Its suppose to give you a ticket and then you pay when you leave. I got no ticket but it still let me in. On departure I figured I was paying the full price which is same as overnight price but when I called for assistance the gate opened. apparently no charge or maybe something will come later in the mail. very odd but whatever. It all works.
