When we arrived, we had to wait 15 minutes for a staff member to show up at the front desk. Once we checked in, our room was in a basement. The layout was strange and we were right next to the elevator shaft. The bathroom shower was not clean, and the fact that all the amenities like lotion and soap were locked to the wall was pretty weird. We were very glad we only stayed one night and hurried out of there in the AM.

We booked this hotel for a fun weekend with family. The pool room was 50° with the air conditioner running in the middle of winter. The breakfast was empty and everyone was upset. The TV in our room was broken. Staff was minimally helpful. Staff finally agreed to give us a refund. Did not actually give us refund. Stopped answering the phone when we called to see why they failed to keep their refund promise. Do not do business with this hotel.

Food was aweful. Some of the breakfast items got finished before 10 am and was not replenished. Breakfast options were so limited like an roadside motel. Pet fees was not communicated at the time of booking. Not worth the Holiday Inn brand and price.

The room we stayed in was disappointing. Water damage on the ceiling/corner right above one of the beds. We had asked for a king bed; got 2 queens instead. Not the end of the world; just generally unpleasant. Nasty hair dryer in the bathroom. Smelled musty. We probably would not stay here again.

Our stay was absolutely terrible. The bathroom toilet leaked on the floor. I called down about it. Nobody came up. They said they would but didn’t, our room phone was dead, we had to use our cell phones to call the front desk. They had boys from a football game staying at the hotel they ran up and down the hallway all evening and night long and above, they ran and ran it sound like a heard of elephants stomping on the floor above us. The worst day I’ve had at a hotel ever. I’ll never stay here again. I would like a refund or a credit or something. It was just terrible.

From a distance, the hotel looks ok but as you look closer, you see all the issues. Hotel is in need of a major update. In the public areas: wall paper falling off walls, exterior doors not working, pool not heated, smells musty and dirty, only a single washer/dryer for guest use. In our suite: air conditioning sub par, room dirty, mattress are old including sofa sleeper, fridge barely kept items cool, bathroom tub wasn't functional, shower head broken, mold growth on bathroom walls, and room needs updated. I would not recommend this hotel especially for the price we paid.

There was no water on both days for a period of time. We were not informed. There was no note placed under our doors, to at least give us a heads-up on the "No Water" problem. It was extremely inconvenient. We were not compensated in any way for our inconvenience with the "no water" problem. Also, upon my check-out, before 11:00am, I was not given a receipt. The person at the desk did not give me my receipt. The person at the desk said that the manager would email me my receipt when he comes in at 10:00 pm. As of now, I still have no receipt.

I reserved a room with extra space for a 5th person and the sofa bed was broken. The staff member immediately found me a rollaway bed instead which worked. The air in the room had a smell, just needed some movement. I liked the big spaciousness of the room. It would have been nice to have a bigger bathroom for that many people. Also the faucet in the bathroom had very low pressure and was difficult to get a steady stream of water in the sink. Thankfully we had an extra sink next to the mini fridge we used to help with that issue.

Nice staff however they do not clean or maintain the rooms during your stay. We always had to ask for new towels, toilet paper and basic necessities. We were often told housekeeping was not available. The price is expensive during a Chiefs game and not worth it. Look elsewhere if you can.
