Outside cleanliness of house is great, and house is well stocked with amenities. The showers and bathrooms were great. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and dishes. Location is great for the area with easy access and a quiet neighborhood.Unfortunately there are some underlying things that bring this listing down.Despite many air fresheners deployed in the house, there is an underlying stink of the house being smoked in for many years, with nicotine staining in the walls to match. Additionally, the walls were cracking from signs of foundation damage, and cobwebs in corners with bugs in them. The couch in the living room is very uncomfortable with signs of heavy use and lumpy cushions. The other reclining chair in the living room was the only marginally comfortable source of seating.Both beds are worn out completely with a cheap mattress topper trying to help with support. Do make sure to bring your own pillows.The dishwasher in the kitchen was not emptied, and we were not sure if the dishes were clean or not, so we left them be.If the furniture was updated and the smells properly abated in this property, it would be a 5/5 property.

This property was exactly what we needed for a brief getaway trom the city. Every detail included in this lake home was thoughtful, from the toiletries provided in both showers to the snacks in the kitchen. Our crew of four (including one tall teenage boy) had space to sleep comfortably while also having separate spaces for privacy. The two bathrooms were a huge plus! Our dog especially loved chasing squirrels in the fenced-in backyard -- such a wonderful bonus for those traveling with pets. The neighborhood is quiet and walkable.One slight negative about our stay was the bed in the primary bedroom. My hubby and I kept rolling toward the middle of the mattress as the nights went on. Also, the water levels out back were too low to make use of the provided kayaks. However, this is not something the homeowners have any control over. These tiny details were easily overlooked because everything else was simply wonderful! A hidden gem is the brand new pickleball courts within a five-minute drive. Built by the city of Tool, these pristine courts were nearly empty during the weekdays. They are open to the public and also have lights for nightime play. Weekends were another story as far as crowds, but having access to these courts nearby is a HUGE plus for this property. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. It is a wonderful value for everything that you get!

We absolutely loved our stay! Everything was thoughtfully prepared — from the soft towels to the high-quality shampoos and conditioners, plus all the little extras like the marshmallows for the fire. The home was spotless, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. The outdoor amenities were a huge bonus and made our trip even more enjoyable.You can truly see the care, time, and effort the hosts put into making the stay welcoming. Manager was great and the home was perfect for us. I only gave 3 stars for accuracy of listing because the pictures show a full canal. However, while the canal had water in it, the level was really low to the point a boat could not run without bottom out the prop. We will stay here again since we do not have a boat anyway. I would recommend this place to others.

This home is meticulous. The check in was smooth. Any questions I had were addressed right away. The reason I didn’t give a perfect score was because it wasn’t on the end of the channel as it opens to the lake. I assumed because the description said lake view, we were right there on the channel. This house isn’t. That was importantly to me. Not my husband. He jumped in the water, got into the kayak and took off!
