Step onto the terrace for a massage with one of our recommended masseurs or take an afternoon swim in in the 50 foot pool-with-a-view and you will feel like you are in your own private resort. Recently featured in California Homes and Design Magazine*, Lavender Hill is a luxury hide-away in the Wine country available year-round for discerning guests. If you and your group appreciate design, setting and amenities a cut above the standard vacation rental property, you will not be disappointed.

The property consists of a contemporary three bedroom, two and one-half bath main house, plus a Craftsman style one bedroom, one bath guest house, on a ridge-top location with spectacular 280-degree views of the vineyards of Sonoma Valley. There are five very private, fenced and gated acres, much of them level or gently sloping with mature oak and olive trees--ideal for relaxing with your family or friends.

The large, well-appointed gourmet kitchen has a six-burner Viking range, two convection ovens, a wine refrigerator, and concrete/steel counters. There is formal indoor dining for twelve people, casual outdoor dining for 12+.

The spacious master bedroom boasts a separate stereo system, television w/ DVD/VCR, satellite service w/HBO. The master bath has a two-person, Japanese-style soaking tub and a detached slate shower w/ skylight. New in 2008: Hardcourt Tennis court w/ basketball hoop.

All bedrooms have Frette bathrobes, 620 thread-count linens and tasteful furniture. In addition, there is 1500 square feet of decking for outdoor dining and relaxing, a lap pool with an automatic cover and a 6-person outdoor hot tub with a beautiful view of the Mayacamas mountains and the Sonoma valley.

NEW IN MARCH OF 2021: Outdoor kitchen and bar with gas and wood grills, professional bartender’s sink, seating for four and night lighting.

Secluded yet only five minutes from the award-winding wineries of the northern Sonoma Valley. 12 miles from Sonoma Plaza, ten miles to Santa Rosa; 30 minutes to the Russian River and Napa valley. Child friendly. Completely remodeled in 2002. This is not a party house. WE DO NOT ALLOW EVENTS OR PARTIES OF ANY KIND! SORRY!!

Perfect girls weekend!
The property was perfect - so much space for a group of 10 girls for the weekend. Everything was perfectly clean and the beds were super comfortable. We booked a chef to come one night and the place had everything you’d ever need to entertain a group for dinner. William even helped us find a new chef to come last minute when the original person we booked got sick. Will definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful Home and Location!
We spent the weekend touring Napa and Sonoma and the house was perfect! The views and overall setting were more than we could have asked for. We hired a private chef for one of our dinners and the kitchen was the perfect setup! William was amazing in all communication and was very helpful. Definitely would come back and stay again! Excellent host and incredible property in wine country
A really special property in Kenwood that lives up to the pictures. The facilities are amazing - there's tennis, a pool, hot tub, ping pong, speaker system and so much more. The private tennis court also has a bunch of pickleball paddles and other equipment you can you. The kitchen has as many plates and dishes as you'll need and tons of space to cook. Overall, the property is very nicely maintained. The only thing to keep in mind is the property is far from the main road so you'll need a car or a bike (or a 30+ min walk) to get around. William was an excellent host. He was very helpful and friendly throughout the whole process. I hope to come back someday!

Thanksgiving in Kenwood
The views (in all directions) make this home feel like a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, especially in fall when the foliage and vineyards are yellow, orange and red. The house is modern while remaining cozy. The property is a private escape, but is minutes from dozens of wineries and tasting rooms. The grocery store in Glen Ellen (Glen Ellen Village Market) is spectacular and there are plenty of restaurants nearby in case you don't feel like cooking. We just love this little slice of earth and can't wait to come back.

Beautiful home and beautiful scenery
This house was absolutely lovely and we woke up every morning to the sound of woodpeckers and to all the animals roaming around. Wonderful views and amazing kitchen. It is a bit far from Napa and St Helena and other reviews have mentioned a windy road, but you can easily take a different route to avoid and the travel time is around the same. William was very responsive and communicative to all our questions and needs during our stay. We hope to be back again someday.

40th Trip Perfection
The house and the views on this property were STUNNING! The cozy couches by the fireplace were a great place to enjoy conversation and coffee. The morning sunset outside overlooking the mountains, deer, and hot air balloons were mesmerizing. The backyard was so perfect for fun moments and memories! Fortunately we were able to enjoy the pool on a super hot day and then bundle up in sweaters the next day to enjoy the cooler temperatures. An absolutely must for anyone who wants to enjoy this property to its fullest potential is to hire a private chef for a personalized, in-home meal! The cons- just for those looking to get a true layout of the home- is that there are only 2 showers in the home and only the primary bedroom has a shower/toilet combo. The other two bedrooms don’t have bathrooms, but there are two bathrooms in the hall for those guests to use. The extra cottage house is great too but a little walk to and from it. The converted garage was the coolest room but scorching hot! We were there on very hot days and with no AC it was tough to stay more than a few mins. Luckily we were so busy with wineries and restaurants we didn’t miss it. This home is approximately 40 mins from Napa and on very very VERY swirvy, mountainside roads that are not for the faint of heart. If you’re planning to do most of your wineries in Napa, plan for this. All in all, we could not have had a better birthday trip! William was an incredible property manager! Thank you so much!
