Beach chairs, umbrellas, luxury beach towels, and a cooler are all provided to enjoy a day at the beach! We strive to achieve a warm, welcoming, and thoughtful retreat here in Maui

The Space:
Welcome to Hip Hawaiian Oceanfront Vistas, a newly remodeled condo at Kauhale Makai and the latest addition to our Ohana of stylish and luxurious condos in South Maui. We want you to feel at home the moment you step inside. Our condo is located at Kauhale Makai “Village by the Sea”, a community nestled up against a charming beach; perfect for catching the most amazing sunsets. The property amenities include a large saltwater pool, a small "kiddie" pool, a hot tub, a volleyball court, shuffleboard decks, putting green, several BBQ grills with picnic tables and tiki torches. Surrounded by beautifully manicured grounds swaying with palm, plumeria and banana trees. This slice of paradise offers a local and relaxed setting, maintaining a vibrant community. Take a breath and experience Aloha!

The Neighborhood:
Kihei is located at the base of Haleakala, a sprawling and majestic 10,000 foot high volcano. Stunning views of the mountain are everywhere. Lined with miles of beaches, local food & shopping, and close proximity to many activities. Fun fact about Hawaii- all beaches are public! There is no such thing as a private beach anywhere in the state. Together with neighboring Wailea and Makena, the area enjoys numerous shops, restaurants and “happy hour” opportunities. Kauhale Makai is a short distance from many grocery stores, including a Safeway, Times and Foodland. If you prefer Costco or Target swing by on your way from the airport!

Getting Around:
We recommend renting a car for your stay! It is the easiest way to get around the island.

Other Things to Note:
Our baby essentials are provided through Nokaoi Baby Rentals. Please visit their website at nakoibabyrentals to arrange your rental. You will pay them directly for the rental and they will deliver the item to your unit.

Please be advised that personal package deliveries such as Amazon etc- are not permitted, unless under medical emergency and with advance approval.

The state of Hawai'i collects a Transient Accommodation Tax of 10.25% and a sales tax of 4.166%. Maui County has a Transient Accommodation Tax of 3.5%. We as hosts are required to collect this tax!

Laundry facilities are located throughout the complex and are shared. Payable via app or coins. We provide Tide pods.

Our beach essentials do not include snorkeling gear as a covid precaution.

Pickleball players will enjoy Waipuilani Park, just minutes down the road.

The resort is designated within a hotel-zoned district and, as such, will not be impacted by the pending Short-Term Rental (STR) ban currently under consideration.

Liked: Cleanliness
This place, and location, were just perfect. The sunset is visible each evening from the lanai and was beautiful! It is just a short walk to the beach and is in a perfect location where there are many choices for other beaches and places to eat. I will definitely stay here again. Also, the property manager was extremely responsive and informative. The sunset photo posted does not do its beauty justice but was taken from our lanai.
