The first thing you'll notice in this 5th floor condo is the sweeping, unobstructed ocean view.
This is a large, light and airy condo, due to a great floor plan and the floor to ceiling wall of glass that's the only thing that separates the living room from the stunning view .

We've furnished our condo to be stylish yet comfortable like a really good high end hotel room so that you'll love your time inside the condo as much as your time outside it at South Maui's fantastic beaches and activities


The condo is fully refurbished in luxurious materials - granite counter tops in kitchen and bathroom, all wooden floors, stylish high end tiles in the bathrooms and the like. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, Calphalon pots and pans, microwave
 everything you need for a comfortable stay.

One bedroom has a California King bed, and a large bathroom accessible via the hallway. The other bedroom has a Queen size bed with en suite private bathroom. There is plenty of closet space in both bedrooms.

Free WiFi. 43" Smart TV with free basic cable channels, and you can log into your Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO etc accounts for entertainment, when you don't want to enjoy the many restaurants and bars nearby.

You'll be in one of the very best locations in South Maui: you can walk to restaurants, grocery store, entertainment, and shopping. The famous South Maui Gardens with it's highly rated coffee house, and amazing food trucks area and fequent live entertainment is next door. A convenience store is right in the building, as is a great massage place, scuba rental and more.
You can also take surfing or paddle board lessons or play beach volleyball right across the street, or watch your friends mastering the waves right from the living room and lanai. Reach Charlie Young beach by foot in 5 minutes, or drive to one of the other great South Maui beaches quickly.

There is a pool and BBQ area with ocean view on the second floor of the building, accessible to guests.

The building does not have central air conditioning. However, there are large ceiling fans in every room and the floor plan provides the natural cooling breeze that traditional Hawaiian homes accomplish when you open the lanai door and windows and doors, which is what we recommend. We also have an AC unit in the living room so you can keep doors and windows closed if you want a cooler temperature.

We stayed at the Island Surf between December 31 and January 7. Taking possession of the condo was easy and the instructions very easy to follow. The place was great and the location perfect. It is a quiet building and very secure. The condo itself was super clean and nice. The view from the balcony was exceptional. The two bedrooms with independant bathrooms were greatly appreciated since we are a family of four. I would recommend this place anytime and I will certainly rent it again if (when) I come back to Maui.

40th anniversary

Nice property with great view. Easy access to needs and activities (walked alot). Could use blackout drapes (outside light lit up bedrooms at night and the sun lights them up before 5am). Lots of homeless in the area but they don't seem to bother anyone. Food trucks near by were good eating places too. I'd recommend it to friends.

What did we enjoy most: the incredible ocean view, the easy walking distance to great restaurants, easily accessible and stunning local beaches, the comfortable beds and spacious, airy main area, the lanai overlooking the water, the surf lessons and snorkel gear literally right here, or the absolute charm of the lively but respectfully quiet at night neighborhood? Hard to say. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else on Maui. What a find! My family was so rested and happy the whole trip. The host is very kind and communicative as well. A memorable vacation thanks, in part, to the location, cleanliness, and quiet of this lovely condo.

Exceptional in Every Way

Superb location and the best ocean view I’ve had in Maui over multiple trips. Breathtaking view of mountains, ocean, street, sidewalks and daily life. Walkable to food, restaurants, shopping. We didn’t even need a car. Took Uber a few times to shop in Wailea and eat at Mamas Fish House. Condo is spacious, well appointed with all amenities -Even had plenty of detergent, garbage bags, dishwashing liquid and soap. Host is very responsive and easily accessible for questions. Thanks again. Will definitely try to book for future visit.

Views and location were excellent, close to restaurants, food trucks and shopping. The only downside was the surf shop right across the street. They begin opening early morning and it’s nonstop people all morning. It’s really a busy place, this noise does come up to the lanai.

Great Stay in South Maui!

This was a great property in Kihei. I will say I was a little skeptical at first because of the picture of the palm tree right in front of the lanai. It is bigger now and you have a gorgeous view of the ocean from inside and out on the lanai. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was clean and well equipped. Especially liked the big coffee pot for the morning. The only thing I can say on improvement for this property is to get more comfortable living room and lanai furniture. The biggest upside to this property is location. We loved South Maui Gardens behind the property with the different food trucks, music, and craft fairs that go on there. We also did a surf lesson which was right across the street. We would absolutely stay here again!
