This was my family's 2nd stay at Wade Home. The layout of the house is perfect for multiple familes to share. The beach is right outside of the front door and the view from the main room is unbelievably beautiful. The kitchen is well appointed and we also used the outside barbecue. The house is 10 minutes away from Hanalei and Princeville for restaurants and shopping. The only drawback is that the house is not air conditioned, so a few of the bedrooms get pretty hot. We greatly enjoyed both of our stays.

Awesome House and Location

This is an ideal property. We had three generations sharing the house, and everything was wonderful! Exactly as advertised!Note that the beds are on frames making the mattresses very high for older people. We pulled mattresses off the frame so that they could get in and out of bed, and no problem from then.

Paradise with our grown family

We had 10 adults and this property was a dream. Quiet location on the beach with great snorkeling right out the front door. Hot tub was great. A little off the beaten path which is exactly what hat we wanted. We will definitely stay here again.

Restful Island Beach Stay w/ Adventure Bonus

House was perfect. Our family's 4th time to this location but 1st in this house. Space and layout excellent, location and proximity to beach excellent. Good beach chairs. Everything worked perfectly. Snorkels were good but fins were children's size or a very small adult, so if you wanna use fins, gotta rent em in town. Lack of a/c noted by other reviewers did not bother us given good supply of fans. Hot tub worked well. House kitchen equipment excellent. Beds comfortable, bathrooms and showers worked well. Seems like local law enforcement has been stepped up to keep beach clear of campers...very much appreciated. Rental agent responsive to issue regarding a rebellious smoke alarm. A.m. rooster burden lower than in past. Will be back after saving up.

Layout of the house is perfect for a family group or multiple couples. Three master bedrooms plus two bedrooms with two beds each, each with access to its own bathroom. Great access(across a small dead end street) to a very safe beach with good snorkeling right off the beach. The kitchen cabinets need some serious upgrading. For a house with all of the advantages this house offers, it just needs to be refreshed. Otherwise, a great property.

Perfect home at the beach

The layout of this house is perfect for a nice family gathering. There are three king suites and two rooms with two twin beds each. There is a large living room and dining room table for ten people. There’s room for several helpers in the kitchen too. Endless ocean views from almost every room. There’s practically a private beach directly across from the house although we shared it with a couple getting married and a necklace company’s photo shoot. It is a beautiful setting for photos. At the end of the road for quiet privacy but don’t forget your groceries since you have a little trek to town. We were out every day so it was easy to bring home anything we needed. Everything was comfortable and clean. It had the best supplied kitchen we’ve ever seen in Kauai and there was a great starter pantry which I appreciate so much! It feels like a loving thing to think of others by having some spices and olive oil, soy sauce and the like. Five stars vacation.

Beautiful spot for a family celebration

We knew this property from prior visits to Kauai and booked for a celebration of our 20th anniversary. Just us and the young kids and a sitter but it was a perfectly comfortable and spacious home. The proximity to one of Kauai’s most beloved beaches is the icing on top! Would love to return!!

Awesome waterfront property perfect layout for family

Our family loved this home the layout was so perfect, each family group had a wing to themselves with a master suite upstairs. The beach in front is like having your own private beach . The beach was perfect for all ages. The snorkeling was great with colorful tropical fish and turtles. We will be back.

Accommodating home

The place is secluded near the end of a dead end road so traffic is at a minimum. It's a great place and I would recommend it. My concerns: The barbecue worked well the first time we used it for burgers. The second time we attempted to use it for our steaks it wouldn't get above about 150° F. We ended up having to put our steaks in the oven. That wouldn't have been much of an issue except that the house does NOT have air conditioning so it REALLY heated up the house that evening. I had the issue with my home grill and I had to replace the valve that connects the propane tank to the grill. Paying about $1,200/night one would expect for everything to operate as advertised. There are a lot of accessories for the beach....chairs, an umbrella, and a variety of floats for the water.

Great house, with a beautiful view just a few steps to the beach.

The house was great for our party of 10 people. The bedroom layout was awesome and afforded privacy and a view to all three master suites but still felt close to the main part of the house. The beach was very nice, shallow and calm which was great for the small grand children, but afforded easy access to snorkeling and swimming for the adults. The only reason I am not giving this home 5 stars is that it is across from a pull out spot on the road and more than half the time we were there, there was someone camping in the pullout spot which is very close to the house. There were always people parked there and turning around in the driveway to the house. Other than that the house was beautiful, clean and well stocked and we enjoyed our time very much.

Wonderful home for a family vacation!

We stayed for 5 days for an extended family vacation & it was perfect! Would also be perfect for a couple of families with kids! Different wings of the house with separate bathrooms. The perfect set up! We had more than one cook in the kitchen and it worked out just fine. Favorite time was watching the beautiful sunsets from the lanai!

Beautiful house in a great location.

At the end of a 2 mile road this large house sits across from a quiet and safe beach. The house is fantastic for groups as each bedroom has its own bathroom and a large central living room/kitchen and beautiful views. Well equipped kitchen, some beach supplies(but don't count on all being in good condition or working), nice to have a washer and dryer . Only 5-7 minutes drive to princeville, 10 -15 minutes to hanalei - I recommend getting groceries in Lihue or Kapaa - hanalei/princeville very expensive for groceries and supplies. Fish Express just past Kapaa is a fantastic place and very reasonable for fresh fish!!!

Great location, wonderful home

Nice big home for 10 people easy, just across a small street from your own personal beach. The only complaint I have is that the doors to outside need work, some do not open, some do not lock.
