Parking stalls are to small even for a small car !! We loved the shower pressure, good beds and breakfast on the beach .

Facilities exceptionally clean, a little dated but great place. Sometimes WiFi didn't work in my room but it worked great everywhere else. Staff wonderful. Restaurant breakfast, great selection and wonderfully prepared - dinner not so much!

I was drawn to this hotel because it has a restaurant right on the sand of the beach. The food was really good, and it was so nice to eat in such a nice location right at our hotel. Everything was clean. We had a great time taking the free bikes on a ride along the coast. We also did free yoga next to the beach one morning! It was nice to have the pool to swim in because you aren't supposed to swim in the ocean. They did have chairs available to sit above the sand, which I appreciated! The sand at this beach is more coarse, which I personally was fine with because it made it easy to rinse off at the wash stations near the pool. There is also a marketplace with restaurants, shops, and a grocery store that is a 1 minute walk away. We grabbed several of our meals from the grocery store to save on money, and it was nice because they had a lot of to-go options. The only drawback about this hotel would be that the rooms could use some updating. Overall, everything was clean and we had a great time.

Staff was great, We had a good time at Kauai Shores. Breakfast on the beach every morning with some Mimosa's was fantastic. Parking wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. Nice stay overall.

The location is excellent, the grounds are beautiful, but the rooms need to be updated! I really like the mid-century/modern vibe going on at the hotel and in the rooms, but overall the rooms need some TLC. I noticed some sliding glass doors being replaced in a section of rooms, but ours was old and didn't work/lock well. The carpets felt old and dirty under my bare feet and I tried to always wear shoes to counter that feeling. The worst part was the bathroom. It left little in the way of a retreat. The bathroom tub handles did not work properly and the water temp. never stayed warm, it either got VERY hot or cold. Every room also desperately needs a microwave. I would give the hotel an A+ on the outside and location, but a C for the room.

We loved the fact that we didn't have to walk more than 150 feet and the ocean was right there. Lounge chairs already on the sand, multiple swim pools that were not crowded, the wonderful outside restaurant with the live Hawaiian music and hula girl, the fire pits at night and tikki torches,loved the lawn games set up for use, loved the quiet little sitting area outside our room, loved being able to walk to the little shopping center that had a farmer's market twice a week. We were impressed on what a good buy the hotel is. We expected much much less for our money and were so delighted. The facilities are well kept and very clean. Loved the check in with the swim towels and the shell leis. The flowers everywhere were beautiful. We would come back here in a heartbeat!
