Perched on top of a pile of huge boulders, The Rockpile feels a bit like being in an upscale treehouse.
Up a series of rock pathways interspersed with 49 stairs, the view of the lake, less than 50 yards away, is phenomenal and the house, built in 1935, exudes the charm, serenity and rustic elegance of Tahoe's bygone days. The views and setting are unsurpassed. This recently completely remodeled home has been an area favorite for 15 years. Recently with new representation, we have lost the ability to list over 100 5 star reviews, but rest assured you'll have a 5 star experience as MG rental agency has hundreds of perfect reviews.

Accessibility Notice for Guests:

Our retreat, surrounded by nature, is reached by 49 stairs. This may not be suitable for those with mobility issues, including children and the elderly. Please consider this before booking your stay.

After you book, you will be asked to e-sign another rental agreement which protect our home from guest damages.

MINIMUM AGE FOR RENTAL. The minimum age to rent the Property is 25 years of age. All guests under 25 years of age must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 25.

Our home is stocked with a 2 day Home Supply Starter Kit including:
Two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom
Two rolls of paper towels,
4 laundry pods,

Shampoo, Conditioner,
Body Wash, Hand soap,
2 Kitchen Garbage Bags.

Please add these items to your shopping list if you will be staying longer and need additional supplies.
This home features a main house with kitchen, master bedroom with queen bed, 3 decks, hot tub, bbq, living room, fireplace, sofa bed, dining table and spectacular views. The kitchen, though small, is very efficient and exceptionally well equipped. Enjoy the sunset and dinner on the lakeside deck which affords a sweeping view of the lake to the northwest. The BBQ deck, located outside the kitchen, looks towards the south and east while the back deck, nestled in among the boulders, affords a peek toward the east side of the lake and provides a cozy, very private place to have breakfast with the early morning sun, get out of the late afternoon wind, or to enjoy the hot tub.

Outside the main house and down one level is a bedroom with 2 Twin beds and bathroom.

Outside the main house and down a few more stairs is a charming cabin with Queen bed, bathroom, electric fireplace, microwave oven, coffee pot.

Just like most homes in Tahoe, this home does not have AC and is not advertised on the listing.
