The house was great to accommodate three couples with private bedrooms and bathrooms. The layout of this luxury home is functional and perfect for our family retreat with our adult kids and spouses. The location was convenient to downtown Knoxville, shopping and dining. The host was very responsive and check-in was easy. I would highly recommend.
VRBO review:We loved the peaceful location of this propertyâthe neighborhood is quiet, and the exterior of the house is very well maintained, however the amount of spiderwebs in every window should be cleaned regularly . The setting truly has a lot of potential. However, we were disappointed with several cleanliness and upkeep issues inside the home. Upon arrival, the initial cleanliness did not meet expectations. The carpet and some of the furniture were noticeably stained, which made the space feel less comfortable. Additionally, the kitchen was lacking in basic cooking utensils, making it difficult to prepare simple meals during our stay. This is a beautiful property in a great, quiet area, but with a deeper cleaning and better attention to interior details, it could offer a much more enjoyable experience.
Overall a great stay. Sean was in communication whenever we needed anything. The house could have been more clean upon arrival. But the amenities are very nice and private!
Lots to be desired. I do not want to degrade this property too harshly, but no one in our party of 8 were satisfied with the cleanliness and freshness of the furniture, linens in the bathrooms, or the upkeep in general. We had one guest driving in from out of state that arrived an hour early. Owner was onsite at the time and made her sit outside for an hour before check in time in 95 degree weather while he swam in the nasty pool and drank beer. I probably should have given this a one-star rating. I would NEVER stay at this place again. It looked rundown and shabby. There were no bathroom rugs to land on from the showers or tubs. Towels were dingy and looked to be too well-worn. Owner was EXREMELY rude. I referred to the property as a rental property in my correspondence with him. His response was that it was not a rental property but his residence. If you rent your residence doesn't that constitute a rental property? We found the furniture a little dirty. One guest smelled gas leaking from the outdoor firepit. Bedrooms were scantily furnished...looked like summer camp when I was young. Overall I found the property shabby and unkempt with regards to furnishings and decor. There were a number of picture hanging hooks with no pictures. Take the hooks down and touch up the paint! Most of all the house is built in a neighborhood that is not very desirable. There are much better locations in Knoxville. I could go on and on. Good luck to the next renter. UGH
I rented the house for my son's wedding. The park they were married in was around the corner and I was also able to hold a rehearsal dinner nearby also. We had 4 of our adult children and their partners staying with us. The house accommodated all of us getting ready and coming and going easily, one of the few rentals with 3 full baths and a half bath in the area. Plenty of room to sleep too. The area around the house feels like a park and the house is quiet. It is easy to keep clean because it has minimal clutter and easy to make sure you got everything when you leave. Make sure someone in your crowd likes technology since everything is new and so lots of the appliances are digital. I am so thankful I planned ahead and had a place where we could all be together at the end of day. I think bedside tables in each room and a lamp by the beds would be a good addition.
Our stay was seriously disappointing. We arrived at the house and moving our luggage in. We went to the upstairs master bedroom suite when we got upstairs the temperature was 87 and the AC was running and set for 69. We gave it a couple of hours and still remained in the high 80s so we contacted the owner via the app. He said the unit mustâve been left on and was probably frozen over and that he would try to get an HVAC tech out to fix it. Nobody ever showed up and we had to use one of the smaller rooms instead of the master with the master bath and the bathtub and all the amenities there were three of us staying there and we had four other family coming over for an Easter barbecue the next day. Going outside to check out the facilities. The pool was disgusting, there were leaves and dirt all inside the pool a pool hose and pool vacuum was in there and dirt was clinging to the pool hose. It was unusable. We then went over to the grill to check the grill out and the grill was absolutely disgusting. Look like it hadnât been cleaned in a year. The entire back deck needed some serious cleaning. We reached out again to the owner and he told us he had a pool guy coming Wednesday⊠Two days after we left but he would see if he can get the pool guy to come early that never happened so we never used the pool, we never had the barbecue and we moved it to my sisterâs house. We reached out to the VRBO and the owner asking for a partial credit because we couldnât use the entire house.
Really cool house, very unique, great area in Knoxville
If unique architecture interests you at all, this is an amazing home. You've likely never stayed in a house like this, and probably won't again. Wish I knew more about the history, the construction, etc. Check out the stunning, mountaintop views from the secluded private road.
We loved it! Another great thing: there's a 32A Tesla mobile connector in the garage! Charge your Tesla back up while you sleep.
The property was just as described. The home is full of smart features, and Sean was very responsive if we had questions. The pool area with the mountain view was absolutely stunning. You feel as though youâre on a mountain retreat, but everything you might need is only a 5-10 minute drive. The master bedroom has a Tempurpedic adjustable bed, and it was AMAZING! I think Iâm going to purchase one for myself! We loved having the musical instruments available. Lastly, the biggest hit with kids, aside from the pool, was the huge Lovesac beanbag! We basically fought over it the entire stay! You will not be disappointed in the perfectly named Heaven!
