Old City Loft â PING PONGâ FREE PARKING
Step right outside your loft into the lively streets of the Old City. Walking distance to Gay Street and Market Square. Includes a full size ping pong table and free downtown parking for one car! Each of the bedrooms has a brand new memory foam queen mattress and there is also a queen air mattress with extra bedding. Please keep in mind there is a train that runs right by the Old City and this unit is very close to it. We provide noise machines and fans to help mitigate the sound but usually the train will pass by a few times a night.
Property was as advertised, clean and convenient. A friend and I stayed for 4 nights during the Big Ears festival. Most music venues were within a five to ten minute walk. Some, like Boyds Jig and Reel were across the street. The Standard and the Mill and Mine were a two minute walk. Be forewarned the railroad is 40 feet from your residence. If you are a light sleeper, this is not a place for you. I liked that there were 2 separate bedrooms with full shower and a third bathroom downstairs. Good communication with the owner as well. My personal choice would be to remove the ping pong table and fully furnish that space but that was minor. All in all, a pleasant experience
Overall, the property is as described. The train situation is real. They blow their horns the whole way through as they pass. However, it just added to the experience.
My only complaint is the carpet. Please bring in a professional carpet cleaning crew and my rating would go up.
The property was very conveniently located within walking distance to downtown activities and had some neat furnishings and aesthetics. It was pretty clean. Communication from the host proved to be difficult and I didnât successfully get the code to the house until after my check in time. The number listed no longer belonged to him. Also, my daughter was disappointed, as the whole reason we booked the property was due to the featured photo of the hanging rope swings. Upon arrival, we discovered the swings have been removed and replaced with a wicker chair. Disappointing. Also a few broken items- running toilet, broken towel holder, and some burnt out lightbulbs that made putting on makeup difficult.
I would stay there again, because itâs very convenient to downtown, but I would tamp down my expectations.
We are a family of 6 and loved staying in the Loft property. We walked around downtown Knoxville and saw all the sights...it was a wonderful location. The property was very accommodating and management was very quick to respond and provide a new air mattress when the one that was in the closet did not hold air. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
