Romm and pool right on the beach with food and massages on the beach. Friendly staff and 2 minutes walk into village with food court and 7 eleven or car/mpwd rentals.

Could be better.

We arrived just after after 10pm because we stopped off for food in the night market as we had been travelling all day. Our sat nav also took us to the wrong beach so we got quite lost on the way. On arrival the reception was closed and nobody was there. However the receptionist was called by a friendly neighbour. She was very annoyed with us, we found ourselves apologising profusely and felt quite unwelcome.. The room was clean but the fan which was fixed up high was unadjustable & pointed at the wall opposite so it was a very hot & uncomfotable night and the toilet was blocked. Breakfast wasn’t included, no kettle in the room. Overall not great value. I think a few tweaks to the facilities and service would make this a great place to stay.

Amazing views and great staff even had a little store there for any of your needs... The room was a little more run down then I thought and had some ants in it... Would recommend paying a little extra and getting a nicer room... Very private beach and probably the best beach in Koh phanagn I would say but it is a little far away from everything... Hotel provided taxis for that inconvenience for cheap...

Nice resort

Very clean bungalow and friendly staff. Quiet and relaxing. No restaurant onsite but lots of restaurants closeby and reasonably priced. My only complaint was that the pillows were rock hard. Beautiful beach area.

Very meh. You can do better for the price

First off, the saving grace of the hotel is the pool and beach. Both are outstanding! However, we experienced probably our worst service in Thailand at the star light resort. We did not get any toilet paper and the front desk seemed unwilling to help. The lady also seemed to not trust us and was not very kind. Our room was decently clean when we first entered and the fan worked well. The air con didn't really seem to do much. The shower in the room ran both hot and cold water which was also nice. Throughout our 3 night stay we noticed ants were in our room. One of our biggest complaints was the pillows, as both of us opted to not sleep with the pillows as they were tall and hard, and simply hurt our necks. The resort is far from the town, however you can rent bikes from the Main Street for 250 baht/day and the resort also runs a taxi service. We used the taxi service to get to and from the full moon party. This cost both of us 200 baht each way. The taxi was reliable and showed up on time.

Basic but very clean and great location!

This hotel is awesome! Great pool, lovely beach, peaceful, lots of restaurants around. The rooms are very cheap and basic, but extremely clean! Note: if you are looking for a fancy room, don't stay here. If you are looking for a low cost place to spend a lot of time outside of your room enjoying the beauty and nature of Thailand- stay here!

Ok for only one night

The staff was very very rude, specially the girl at the reception. Never smiling, and it is like we were always disturbing her. The room is ok for the price. They have a very nice swimming pool on the beach which is very pleasant.

Lovely hotel on a beautiful beach

We really enjoyed a 2 night stay at Starlight. Our air conditioned room was clean, nicely decorated and very good value. The pool area is really nice and overlooks one of the nicest beaches in Thailand. For the price this is a very good option in Thong Nai Pan Yai.

Hotel on the beach

Besides of one hotel receptionist (Jennifer) who was really nice with us, the hotel staff was the most unfriendly and the cleanliness of the rooms and pool very disappointing. Also, no amenities (shampoo, soap...) as advertised on Expedia Web site. Hotel had great location on the beach.

Value for your money

Everything good in general. There is no restaurant at the hotel. However since there are restaurants literally next door it was never a problem. I also used to walk to the Main Street to eat local food.

Get beach, stay elsewhere.

We left very shortly after arriving. Our room had an very intense mold smell, I didn't feel safe sleeping in the room the room was a detached bungalow, and had air conditioning and very basic tv, bedding and bathroom. For Thailand, the room is acceptable except for them mold - that stuff is dangerous. Staff are not overly accommodating.
