Beware of blood stained sheets and unprofessional hosts!
We arrived at our stay and first of all the lockbox was almost impossible to get into. Please be ware that the host takes at least 24 hours to get back to you so if you are struggling to get in and it is late, this may be problematic.
Next, and this is really the worst part. The apartment had an awful stench and we wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt and open all the windows given this apartment is in a very run down building. It helped air it out a bit but the smell still persisted. We couldnt figure it out until we started to put our daughter to bed. She was really upset and refusing to stay in the room due to the smell. To our complete horror, the sheets were stained with blood. We didn't know what the blood was and thought it to be a biohazard. The hosts were unresponsive that night and to keep our family safe from this clearly negligent host, we had to leave and book elsewhere. The next day, we heard from an employee from this company who acknowledged this was terrible and he wouldn't allow his family to stay here. He said we would be reimbursed. A cleaner was sent over and we were told it was just a stain but we explained the smell wouldnt be so strong if the sheets had been washed. They clearly were not and things werent checked. After more emails, the company said they would give us 50% off cleaning fees which is insulting as it should have been cleaned first! We have escalated this situation with VRBO who have been helpful. Save your money and don't book here!
