The natural beauty surrounding the resort is stunning. Views of the volcano from the balcony were spectacular. We spent each morning on our balcony with a cup or two of coffee. Toucans paid us a vist twice. The staff did all they could to ensure our needs were met, and they're friendly and polite demeanor was so very much appreciated. A special shout out to Adrian and Nicole at the reception desk and all the restaurant staff. Plenty of activities in the area kept us busy. Animal sightings were good with sloths, monkeys, iguanas, bats, coaties and crocodiles all spotted. The hiking trails within the resort are other worldly. Just a fantastic time!

Everything about Lost Laguna Resort and Spa was exceptional! Staff was extremely friendly; accommodations were comfortable ; bathroom was a huge “wow” factor! The tropical property was amazing! Need I say more! Definitely a must stay for a relaxing vacation .

The hotel is beautiful! Very comfortable rooms Breakfast limited choices It rained a lot so it was difficult to move in the property since the restaurant and rooms are in different buildings Also the pool was great since it was hot all The time.

Beautiful property offering a free traditional CR breakfasts. Property is about 20 minutes from downtown La Fortuna and 3.5 hours from San Jose Airport so the travel is a little hard. The showers had great water pressure and the view of Arenal Volcano was great when the weather cleared. The only thing I would recommend is having a setting area to eat food at, which you can bring food back from town or order room service. We had a relaxed day at the spa with the rain hitting the roof and the sound of the river. It was a great property and the staff is incredibly kind and friendly!

My stay at the Lost Iguana Resort was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely immersed in nature—like I had my own private escape in the middle of the rainforest. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle and seeing the Arenal Volcano right from my balcony was honestly magical. The room was spacious, clean, and felt incredibly cozy, with details that made the whole experience feel special. The staff went above and beyond every single day—always welcoming, helpful, and genuinely friendly. You can really feel that they care about making your stay perfect. I loved spending time at the pools and walking around the trails on the property. Everything is peaceful, quiet, and beautifully maintained. It is a campus by itself, they provide free ride to various facilities. We got a clear view of the cone-shaped Adrenal mountain from the balcony. So much green vegetation all around. The room is large and convenient. The staff are very friendly. Food in the restaurant is great but the menu is same every day. I will highly recommend it to my friends.

This is my second year staying at The Lost Iguana hotel, and I absolutely love the vibe and the staff. It's a very peaceful place, and you feel like you're in paradise. The staff, especially Eduardo, who is the restaurant manager, truly make a difference. Because of people like him, I find myself wanting to return again and again. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home.

The Lost Iguana Resort and Spa was one of the most unique resort hotels I’ve ever been to. It’s uniquely situated in the beautiful, lush Costa Rican mountains next to a dormant volcano. There’s nature trails, beautiful gardens, and even a hanging metal bridge on the property. The resort is also restricted from public access as there is a security gate to enter. My room had an exclusive view of the volcano and lush landscape. It was magnificent. This resort is strictly for relaxation and quiet as the nearest town is approximately 30-40 minutes away. The front desk surprised me by sending a basket of wine, fruit, snacks and chocolate to my room. I plan to return to this resort as it is one of the best locations I’ve ever been to and would recommend it to anyone. 5 stars for sure.
