Puedes caminar y hay muchos lugares para comer alrededor. Very close to the cathedral and many eating places. If you are arriving in a taxi from outside the city, let them Know that they can take you to the front of the hotel. Some maps tell you have to walk but taxis are allow to go in. The girls at the front desk are excellent and will help you with anything you need. I was bothering all the time because I went with a baby and was storing milk and yogurt in their fridge and they were always happy to get for us. Enjoy Santiago. "

When I missed my day tour (because I didn't realize there was a one hour change between Portugal and Spain), the staff went out of their way to help me rescue my day by finding public transport options. "We were told parking at A Rosa was E12 a day but when we showed the attendant at garage our stamped hotel receipt they charged us E16 a day. We told attendant the hotel stamped our teceipt for discount of E12!but he said it was E16 a day which is nit what we were told by hotel."
