Avoid at all costs. Rundown motel used as long term housing for folks in need not a property meant to house tourists or whatever. Folks who run the place are decent people but owner seems shady and it shows on how me manages the property.
Would have left zero stars if they let me. We booked and paid for our trip well in advance and the day we got to town, we were informed that they overbooked and basically sold our room that was already paid for. Had to scramble last minute to try to find somewhere else to stay with my 2 kids. Not a good situation and we had to pay almost double the price because everything was sold out and we had to go all the way back to state line. Very bad customer service.
We did not stay there-it was not as advertised and we did not feel safe. There were several people hanging around that appeared to be under the influence, it was dirty, there were broken down cars parked in front of several of the rooms, the âlobbyâ was locked and a man yelled from one of the rooms that heâd be right with us. We are 68 years old and knew we would be returning to this isolated area late at night and were frightened. The staff appeared to be down on their luck homeless that worked to pay for a room. They rent by the week as stated on their marque. I will be sending pictures and asking for a refund of my money to go towards the other room we rented in Mesquite, NV. Sleeping in the car would have been preferable to staying there!!
I booked about a month in advance. They cancelled my stay the day I was supposed to check in. If I hadnât booked through a travel agency, I would have had no place to stay.
