I was scheduled to arrive late on a Friday night, but due to a flight delay, I ended up arriving early Saturday instead. When I went to check in, I was told my entire reservation had been canceled due to "policy." I reviewed the motel’s website, Travelocity, and my booking confirmation, but found no mention of such a policy.
To make matters worse, the reservation was non-refundable. At most, I should have lost just the first night I missed—but the rest of the reservation should have remained intact. The staff were unhelpful and simply told me I could book a new room—at three times the original price I had paid.
Thankfully, Travelocity was able to secure a partial refund, so I do appreciate their help. Eventually, I gave in and rebooked, as I was exhausted and on a tight schedule.
The room itself was mediocre—dated and run-down. The motel seemed mostly empty, though there were a few campers and vans in the parking lot with people sleeping in them.
Looking back, I regret choosing this motel. There are plenty of other options on the Strip, and I feel like I was taken advantage of.
