Hidden Gem, 5 Star Experience!

This hotel is a hidden gem! Newly renovated and opened, this historic hotel is upscale, luxury, and surprisingly affordable. We were a little hesitant since it didn't have lots of reviews yet, but this was the best place we stayed in our 2 weeks traveling through Europe. Great location across the street from the train station in Murren, or a 10-ish minute walk to the tram on the other side of town. The hotel also provides free transportation to the tram if requested. The staff was very professional and accommodating to my requests and the rooms were clean, quiet, beautifully decorated, and had STUNNING balcony views. Wow! Seriously the hardest thing to leave behind. The breakfast was 10/10 with a full buffet of options (hot and cold) plus ability to order omelets and waffles from the kitchen as well. The breakfast was included in the room rate and was fantastic. The hotel had a very nice spa but didn't have a pool or hot tub on site, so they give you a access card to the community center across the street (connected to the hotel via a tunnel). I enjoyed swimming in the lap pool and there was a hot tub indoor and outdoor as well. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every moment. I would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. Staying in Murren is a special experience since the town is up on the cliff and away from the valley. It is easy to leave a car in the parking lot at the tram station if you have a rental car like we did. We'll be back!

Loved our 4 night stay in the Palace’s new building just adjacent to the main hotel. We were upgraded to a balcony suite that had a bunk bed room in addition to the master, and just wow. The view was spectacular from every window. The apartment smelled like fresh pine wood. The spa in the basement of the building was wonderful to have access to. Loved everything about the entire property. It all felt very luxurious. I recommend eating dinners out at other restaurants, since the menu here is limited, and the dishes could use refining. The breakfast buffet was great. We would definitely come back. Unforgettable stay.

Loved the view, the hotel, the restaurant, included breakfast, the indoor playground, the outdoor playground, the proximity to the train station, quality of the room. A little expensive overall but it felt worth it. The pool facilities are not part of the hotel. They're just privileges at the city pool which is a bit of a walk. That was the only disappointment.

Our “Classic Double Room” was so beautiful and spacious with many amenities including cozy bathrobes and a balcony with a gorgeous view, very comfortable bed, separate living room with huge storage space and an extra half bath. The decor was warm and inviting and very elegant with beautiful walls and furniture. The restaurant offers excellent choices and the breakfast buffet was expansive and delicious! I can’t wait to come again some day!

The hotel is exquisite and absolutely beautifully renovated. It is great being able to use the alpine sports centre across the street which connects through a skywalk. The views were amazing of surrounding landscapes and waterfalls. The staff were incredibly courteous and nothing was an issue, amoungst the best I have encountered. It would have been nice to have a door between rooms in the suites when sharing with children though as an improvement. Do also be aware that one must take a gondola to get to the hotel and there is no direct parking, however the team will guide you well if need help.

This is one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed at. Nestled between the Swiss Alps, this hotel strikes a balance between modern luxury and the charm of a mountain town chalet. The property was stunning with beautiful decor that feels high-end and boutique, and the staff are all so warm and accommodating. Every detail felt thoughtful and intention, and made our stay one to remember. I hope to return to Murren just so we can stay here again!

You will feel like a prince[ss]!

We stayed in the new building. We were amazed by the 6 balconies, amazing spa (3 saunas and cold plunge), and beautiful architecture. Our room looked brand new. Slippers and robes are provided. A variety of tea, nuts, and dried fruit is always available. The complementary breakfast is fantastic. You also get to use the Alpine Sports facility next door for free as part of your stay at the palace. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the tram station. Gimmelwald is a lovely 30 minute walk downhill and you can take the gondola back up to Mürren if you don't feel like walking uphill. Murren is a quiet carless city. It offers much more peace than Lauterbrunnen.

We were extremely happy with the Hotel Murren Palace. From the moment we arrived to when we checked out was first class service, from the front desk, restaurant and room service. The upgrade we received was fabulous, clean, comfortable, spacious. The views were breathtaking.
