You are walking distance the the Lincoln City outlet malls and a very short 5 minute drive to the beach and 10 minute drive to Chinooks Winds Casino. It is close proximity to Devils Lake, Camping, Kayaking, Parks, and Restaurants. This home will sleep 6 individuals with a comfortable Queen bed in the master and a full size bed in the second bedroom with a large queen Air mattress to help accommodate guest in second bedroom closet. Amenities of this home include --a brick wood burning fireplace and Smart TVs to enjoy your favorite shows and sites. Fully furnished kitchen, Large deck, extra sheets and towels as needed, wireless Internet, shower/tub, washer/dryer and outdoor furniture to enjoy the deck. The Beautiful Brick Wood Burning Fireplace in living room will keep you warm and cozy. The home has laminate and tile floors throughout the home. Cold!

House looks terrible from the outside. There is a motorhome in front that has a pit bull locked up in it. Tub was cracked and disgusting. I will say, the inside is nicely decorated, but it smells and heat barely works! We had to have a fire all night( after having to go get firewood, and slept in all our clothes. Was a surprise gift for my wife and we were both extremely disappointed

Not up to par

We were very disappointed in this house. First of all, the heat did not work. We had to go to the store and get some wood for the fireplace and try to keep it going so we didn't freeze. The fireplace did not draw correctly and the smoke came out into the room on the right side. We placed the fire on the left side of the fireplace to minimize this, but it was not good. We had not prior knowledge that there was no working heat. Additionally, on the loveseat in the living room there were winged bugs down in the cushions so we could not use it. Some creatures were inside the walls and went up and down inside all night, causing my granddaughter and the dog distress. One of the elements on the stove did not work. We feel that for the price we paid the place should have been much more updated,clean and usable.

Cute beach style home

We enjoyed our stay very much! The home is located at the end of a street so no traffic to hear! The decor was spot on with a great beach house vibe! Loved the beautiful fire place, it made it very cozy and inviting! The back deck was secluded with amazing green trees to admire! We would go back in a heartbeat! The communication with the home owner was so painless and very easy!! Thanks for sharing your darling home with our family!

House near Devils Lake

Older home in a quiet neighborhood. You can't see the lake from any part if the property. We were joining family at a house on the lake for most of our activities during our stay. The close proximity was good though. Home has a couple of very small changes in the floor height inside the house. Just awareness for anyone with challenges. Home was as advertised. Nothing fancy about it, nor updates. No complaints from us. Met our needs just fine!

Nice place - Be ready to sign additional rental agreement

This was a pretty basic set up that worked well for us. It rained all weekend but it is the OR coast so that's expected. The fireplace was a really nice touch. WARNING: They dropped a multi-page rental agreement contract on me without warning the day before check-in, insisting I needed to sign it before I received my key instructions. I found it strange they waited until my payments were made in full and past the refund date to suddenly require a whole additional contract. It was very legal and put a bunch of new rules and liability information that was not listed on the VRBO description. It made me feel very uncomfortable that they would present this AFTER the money was paid so I had no option to negotiate or back out without loosing my entire payment. Very shady practice. If you have all these additional rules and demands just be up front and put them in the posting so I can decide if it is right for me before requesting it. Other CONS, 4pm check in seems late and 10am check in seems early. Plus they require us to "clean the kitchen" even after we paid a sizable cleaning fee. I can understand washing our dishes but they required the kitchen to be fully cleaned. All-in-all we made it work but the way they dropped that contract out of nowhere left a bad taste in my mouth and I will be trying someplace else next time.

It was a great little house with plenty of space and a full kitchen! It was super clean and cozy! It is in a real quiet neighborhood right around the corner from the outlet mall yay! Has a super comfy large bed in the master bedroom too!

The house was very basic. It’s great if all you need is a place to sleep. The decor is cute with its beach theme. There is no soap for bathing or washing clothes,. There is dish soap however, as there is no dishwasher. The pet fee is extremely high considering the house is very old and run down. Part of It should be refundable depending on any damage done by the animal. I’ve stayed at many vacation rentals and this is the most expensive non refundable pet fee. There were many blankets provided for the chilly nights. It is advertised for sleeping 6 but we didn’t really fit. It was crowded and there is no sofa bed, so my kids slept on the floor on a foam mattress we brought from home. When walking into the house there is a strong , damp and musty smell throughout.

Quaint little home

We enjoyed our stay at this property. There are little things, such as uneven floors (though there are signs to indicate where there are steps,) and a slight musty smell, that indicate the age and construction of the home is older. However, the home was clean, the decorations were very cute, and it was clear that the homeowners have worked hard to make the home pleasant for others. The home recently had insect treatment so there was a chemical smell at first, but it disappeared soon after we opened windows. The home is in a wooded area, so we did see a single insect inside the home (as one might in a wooded home), but nothing beyond that or anything that caused concern. Also, while it is close to Devils Lake, there is no lake access (lake access was not advertised until the description though, so this was not a problem for us). The home was a few minute drive from the D River beach, which we had lots of fun at. It is also a short drive to several shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would return in the future.

Moth balls and rats

We were excited to go to the beach for the weekend, we decided to go to Lincoln city for the weekend to celebrate my sons birthday, the little house was cute and looked really nice, so we booked it. When we arrived at the property it did not look anything like the photos that were posted, when we opened the front door, it looked familiar, we were not prepared for this, it might have looked clean, but it was not even close, upon entering the house a overwhelming smell took over, what we found was either moth balls or rat poison, strung out all over the house. We started opening windows. At that point I did not want to stay! We stayed because it would be a fight to get our money back! Super sad start for a relaxing weekend, I found moth balls and rat droppings on top of the refrigerator and rat droppings in the light fixtures, none of the floors were level, it felt like it was a tilt house at the carnival, the beds were completely uncomfortable, your either sleeping uphill or downhill, it was easier to go out and spend more money at restaurants then it was to cook with the old cook ware that was provided, there is no garden to enjoy, the gate is tied shut and the garden is a over grown forest! With this being our first attempt to use Vrbo, I am disappointed. At night you can hear the rats scurrying in the walls, again very disappointed and will be staying at commercial properties from now on.

Beds could be more comfortable. Every time my fiancé and I moved it felt like the bed was going to break not sure what the weight limit is but I chose to sleep on the couch. Nothing to wash clothes or towels in or kitchen towels had to purchase own. Or enough toilet paper. House stayed cold even with heaters on. Other than that great stay.

This space looks nice from the few pictures of the front room but did not deliver. The smell was terrible and was trying to be hidden through equally terrible air fresheners. It was very dirty and seemed like there was not a clean up after the previous guest (s). Our final straw was the rodents (three actually seen on our final night) and the feces left all over kitchen counters and in master BR. We only stayed 2 of a 4 night reservation. This place isn’t with it. Rent a tent.

Would Never Recommend - Almost Poisoned my Dog

Worst place I've stayed in for a vacation rental. I have a similar story to another review that I must have missed when I was reading reviews of this place, lesson learned on needing to hunt through all of the reviews. The place was filthy. Food crusted to silverware, dead bugs in the light fixtures and around the rooms, back patio not even attempted to be swept, top of the fridge looked like it had never been cleaned and had rodent droppings on it (I'll get into the rodent problem next), and pieces missing from the front blinds. The place was listed as "pet friendly," so I paid the pet fee to bring my dog. First night there we heard scratching/rustling in the walls and my dog kept growling at the wall, and so I messaged the owner about unwelcomed guests living in the walls. He said he had just had his "semi-annual" inspection and it could be a bird or a squirrel since the house is around a lot of trees. The next morning I found my dog trying to open a package he had found under the bed, turns out it was rodenticide. The owner KNEW I was bringing a dog, and then still left a package of poison out where a dog could easily access it. Thank goodness my dog didn't get into it, I do not appreciate my dog almost being poisoned by this irresponsible owner. Stay far away from this place, it's not worth the price or the location.

Affordable

Great place if you just want to sleep. Outdated and cold because of baseboard heating. Fridge froze most of our stuff and have to hold down toilet lever until it completely flushes. Uneven floors but there are signs to alert you before you stub your toe. Must smelling - bring your own candles. Other than that - if you plan on a short stay and being gone all day - this is the place for you.

Very Disappointed

This house was by far the worst house I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve been in several vacation rentals. We didn’t even stay the 3rd night even though I knew there would be no refund for it. Two nights was all we could handle. The house smells horrible and even though they have air fresheners they don’t work. There are Flies everywhere inside the house, dead and alive, dead bugs inside light fixtures and on the ceilings. The window blinds have missing sections to them, the deck is filthy and hasn’t been swept or cleaned in ages. The furniture on the deck is all rusted and very dirty. The outside of the house is in desperate need of work. The floor inside is so slanted you could lay a ball down and it would roll by itself and there was a lot of dust. I made the mistake of not reading prior reviews until after we were already in the home. I learned a hard lesson with that I will never rent another place without reading all the reviews. I am not asking for any kind of refund or for anything else from the owner. I also did not contact him at all because I knew that wouldn’t accomplish anything. Loved this place!

This house was in the perfect setting, great space utilization and we loved the fireplace. Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again!

Small cozy house.

This house is small. With 4 adults staying here and 3 dogs made it quite cozy. The master bedroom was nice, the bedroom in the frount of the house was very small and the bed was against the wall which makes getting up difficult at night for older adults. Also the house was quite cold when we arrived and the baseboard heating took quite a long time to heat the house. The baseboard heat in the livingroom was not enough to heat the main part of the living area. Also it was stated that there was a wood fireplace, but because of the later check in and no wood available it made for very cold 1st night. I would suggest either supply a small amount of wood or earlier check-in. Other than the stated heating issue the house is clean and beds were comfortable and the rain at night was relaxing. After we got some wood to help the heating we enjoyed our stay.
